The viewfinder, which I bought in Japan for my beloved DMC-LX7, works just great. Unfortunately its rubber eyecup has worn out and it is impossible to find out from the Panasonic website what its part number is or how to replace it. The search engine is dreadful for this sort of problem, and Panasonic offers no way to get help (e.g. sending them an email) except Online Chat, which is down for the weekend.

So glad I made this purchase. I prefer using a viewfinder over the screen on my camera & this has been a great accessory for my DMC-LX7 Lumix. Easy to attach & use.

Excellent product. Invaluable for outdoor use when glare on the main screen makes it unuseable

Does what it is supposed to do very well. Clear, easy to use. Best for MACRO and bright day shots.

Sharp and clear, this EVF is my second. I use it with a Leica D6 and a Lumix GX1 both of which I bought at ADORAMA...where I buy everything photographic. Efraim Nussbaum, my salesman, is like a family member (one who charges for his services...)

I have 2 of these- 1 for my Leica D-6 and one for my Lumix GX1. This is a huge improvement over the last finder (The LV1-) Which I use on my Leica D-5 and my GF 1. The difference is night and day. The unit is bright and sharp. Like a DSLR finder. I really have no downsides to report. VRR

bright, flips and has a diopter adjustment with a wide range and a dial you can actually turn with your fingers. It's not too big and when mounted my DCM-LX7 still fits in a work shirt pocket. A must have in bright light. a bit of a lag when panning, but not bad enough to be distracting.

This electronic view finder is great for my Lumix LX7 on days when sunlight brightness makes difficult to see settings on the rear screen. It tilts 90 degrees and can be put on and off in a flash. It is small, unobtrusive and fits anywhere. I had to wait a few days because it was on backorder, but Adorama shipped it to me as soon as it arrived. They are a great outfit and have great service.

I find the LVF2 an indispensable accessory for for Panasonic GX1 and LX7 cameras. I often find it difficult to see details on LCD screen outdoors, but with the LVF2 I have no problem composing and focusing a picture. I also use legacy lenses on the GX1 and find the viewfinder an essential component of the camera system in that case. I wear glasses and have no problem using this viewfinder. I find this viewfinder well worth it's cost and I highly recommend it.

Purchased to go with my Panasonic GX1. The built-in screen on the camera works great, but in strong, direct sunlight can't be seen clearly. This fixes that. 90% of the time I don't need the viewfinder, but when I do, it's really good to have.

Turned out to be way better than I expected. The viewfinder is quite light, and doesn't take up too much space. The quality of the screen is a surprise, and I like how much easier it is to steady the camera with the viewfinder in place.

The LVF2 is not needed for every shot, but there are many of my better photos that I would not have captured without it. I find it especially useful when moving in for a tight composition.

Very useful accessory for Panasonic GX1. I like to manually focus and use the viewfinder to compose photos instead of the built-in screen, and this works well. Wish it had a sensor to turn on when automatically when you bring your eye to it, but otherwise a great product.

I have this on a GX1 and consider it an essential accessory. Not only does it make bright light photography easier, it adds a third point of stability to the camera when put to the eye. I thought the tilting feature was quaint but not useful. WRONG. I use the tilt feature very frequently and find it a very valuable part of the function. The resolution is MUCH finer than I expected and is very, very useful in manual focusing - even without the image zoomed. My opinion: this is a must-have.

The Panasonic External Electronic Viewfinder for DMC-GX1 is an optional viewfinder for the DMC-GX1 Micro 4/3 camera. Just mount this on the camera's hot shoe and you've got a superb 1,440,000-dot equivalent color viewfinder image, with all of the same information that's displayed on the LCD screen. It displays 100% of the image and works particularly well in bright sunlight (always tough on LCD displays). The viewfinder also tilts up 90Deg. to make low-angle shots easier than ever. Because it mounts on the camera's hot shoe, it can't be used with a shoe-mounted flash on the camera.
