Why settle for less when you can expand your audio capabilities with the Soundweb London BLU-BIB, also known as the "break-in box" This high-performance device offers 8 channels of analog audio input expansion, leveraging the robustness of the Soundweb London's high bandwidth, fault-tolerant digital audio bus.
Designed for seamless integration, the BLU-BIB features a low latency, fault-tolerant digital audio bus that can support up to 256 channels. This advanced system utilizes standard Category 5e cabling, allowing for a distance of up to 100m between compatible devices. For extended reach, the BSS Audio MC-1 fiber optic media converter can be employed to increase the distance between devices to over 10km (6.2 miles) using single mode fiber.
Configuring the BLU-BIB input channels is a breeze, thanks to six DIP switches located on the rear of the device. These switches allow for the selection of consecutive channels in groups of eight, enabling assignment to any 8-channel range within the 256 channels available on the digital audio bus.
Each channel's input gain and Phantom Power can be easily adjusted using buttons on the front panel. The 8 analog mic/line level inputs utilize the same terminal block connectors as the other members of the Soundweb London family, ensuring consistency and compatibility.
The BLU-BIB's front panel is equipped with LED indicators that display signal presence, clip, and Phantom Power per channel. Additional LED indicators provide power status and applied gain information.
The BLU-BIB operates in three different modes - Edit Mode, Normal Mode, and Stealth Mode - which can be easily toggled via the front panel controls. The device's compact half-rack chassis can be rack-mounted using the BSS Audio 1U Rack-Mount Kit, or alternatively, under-table mounted or wall mounted using the included mounting brackets.
Powered by a 12V DC adapter, which is included with the device, the BLU-BIB break-in box input expander, along with the other members of the Soundweb London family, forms the cornerstone of a perfectly tailored system solution for all your audio needs.
