High Quality Desktop Speakers
High quality sound for my desktop. Good but not great base but that would require larger speakers. Wish connecting wires were just a bit longer.

Excellent but for one issue
The speakers work very well. The one objection I have is the fact that there is no off/on switch. There is only a "on or mute" switch and the speakers go to sleep automatically (a mute if not used after a specified period. I would prefer an off-on switch so that the speakers are always on when the computer is on without any automatic sleep mode. This is why I rate the speakers at only a 4 star. I would recommend this to friends only if the lack of the on/off switch, and automatic sleep mode, is not a major issue for them.

Fantastic - If you can get it at a discount.
The speakers are fairly high-quality. The bass could use more reinforcement, and some treble-alterations. Otherwise, the product is incredibly well-structured, and sturdy; and I am very content with being able to utilize this. I love the dial for the volume-control.

Excellent sound, minor LED failure doesn't detract
Bought these over a year ago from JL in store. Excellent sound and pleased that I have separated the technology (bluetooth wireless) from the speakers. They are simple analogue active speakers and can be used anywhere as an active speaker set e.g. TV with any AUX cable. The controller is excellent for minor volume adjustments whilst working (they sit either side of the monitor). I use them for all volume when making video calls. Sadly the white LED on the controller failed. It's an expensive fix and I can't be bothered so they lose a star for that.

clear sound, nice control pod, NO BASS
I am a strong believer in the idea of getting what you pay for. BOSE let me down this time. The clarity of the sound is very good, and I really like the control pod and being able to plug in other devices, but I listen to music on my pc quite often and the lack of bass is immediately obvious and frustrating. I've gotten used to it and will keep them for now (because of how much I paid). I came to the website to see if there was a subwoofer option or add on. wishful thinking. I'll continue buying BOSE products but NEVER AGAIN without trying it out first.

Hands down the best speaker system I've ever used!
Firstly, the speakers have excellent build quality, including the small volume dial. The speakers look excellent on a shelf around my monitor and barely take any counter space, which was the main reason I bought these. Onto the sound; firstly these feature a sound relocation feature so that the sound either gives a surround illusion or that with default applications it appears to come out of the middle, which is ideal for movies and gaming. The treble output on these is very high quality, and the mids are just high enough to not sound excessive. The bass for speakers of this form factor with no subwoofer is insane but with rap or hip hop music may not be what some listeners are looking for as the bass is not excessive. Still though, these speakers do their job as a groundbreaking product with a very immersive listening experience in them.

It's been around 5-6 years since I own these speakers, the quality is just amazing, and they still work almost perfectly (1 wire for the left speaker is sensitive and if you slightly move it then it wont play on the left speaker but other than that its perfect).

Perfect for Zoom, WebEx and all virtual interactio
When my office moved to my home due to the pandemic, I needed to upgrade my home office. This system is perfect, with most valued feature being the volume control at my fingertips, within easy reach. Thought I would need a woofer. I don’t. Sound is fabulous.

Who needs a stereo?
I haven’t had a stereo for years. These are the only sound system i need. Connected to my iMac, i use them for music, streaming tv and video con calls. As always, great Bose sound quality and the volume “puck” sits quietly on the edge of my desk.

What an improvement!
So, like many, my home office has become my main office, and I wanted to improve the sound for Zoom and other conference calls. The best feature of this product is the pod that controls volume -- it's right there in front of you, and you don't have to reach for anything. And the sound is amazing. I thought I wood need a bass woofer (not available on this system), but sound is just amazingly Bose.

Snap, Crackle and Pop Deja Vu
I've been a Bose fan for more than 25 years, but clearly, there seems to be an issue with these speakers as too many people have had the exact same experience. I bought the Bose Companion speakers about five years ago and they worked really well. In general, I was very happy with my purchase. However, about 6-9 months ago, the right speaker started to sound distorted, especially for any music or audio with heavier bass sounds. At first I figured I got my use out of them and I would just buy another set, but at what I paid for these, they should have lasted much, much longer! I also noticed that on the Bose website, several other reviewers mentioned having the same issue and I also noticed that the store I bought mine at also has some bad reviews for this product with the EXACT same issue! This leads me to believe that this is a design flaw and that depending on the amount of use, the product will fail and much earlier than it should given the cost.

Speaker sound Excellent !!!
I have these speakers for sometime now and during guarantee period and for the second time gave trouble, was distorting only one, wish they stopped selling and assembling their products in China. Cheap labour + Cheap Quality = Poor performance ??

Bad speakers
Got one of the speakers replaced during its warranty period as it was jarring as if it was torn. Service was done at Andheri Mumbai service center. After replacement it worked for a month and then the same problem repeated. Fed up with such service. Will never buy a bose again after the quality issues faced. Absolutely not worth the price paid for.
