Amazing monitor and love the resolution! Use it as my side monitor and it "upgraded" my 2k 32". Only thing that could make this better is an ultrawide format. If they did, I would run 2 of these as primary monitors.

Love this monitor! Portrait mode is ideal for writing and programming. So much more useful screen real estate, even compared to my large wide-format monitor. Already considering getting a second one. Dearly hope LG continues to pursue this format. The 28" DualUp is already a great monitor, but if there were an even larger (wider) version, I'd crawl through an obstacle course to get it.

I purchased (from another retailer) the version which comes with a standard desk mount, and I have the DualUp on the lowest height adjustment. It is at eye level and perfect for my needs. Imagine two 14 inch widescreen laptops stacked on top of each other and you get the DualUp. The DualUp is thus perfect for both vertically scrolling through long documents and pages, or for splitting it (especially horizontally) for productivity use. The monitor is plenty bright and has vibrant colours. I cannot detect any of the glow typically associated with IPS panels. Connectivity is excellent and all the ports are easily accessible right on the back of the monitor. Plus, as the monitor is designed for portrait layout, the ports are in their proper positions, so you won't have to bend and twist your cables. The DualUp monitor has allowed me to reclaim a lot of space on my desk as I used to have a second monitor in landscape layout (I don't like using portrait on a regular widescreen). A tip I found online: use theater mode on YouTube with this monitor. It's great! Needless to say, I'm a big fan.

After being laid off in July due to the challenging job market, I decided to fully commit to day trading. This has been one of the best investments I've ever made. As a full-time day trader, I needed an extra monitor to enhance my performance, and this Dual Up monitor has been a game-changer. I can effortlessly manage multiple windows, charts, and accounts all at once. If you're looking for a boost in productivity, this is the way to go. The screen size is impressive, the colors are vibrant, and the mobility is outstanding, I absolutely love it-100/10 recommend!

I purchased a dual-up monitor a month ago to use while working from home, and it has been fantastic, especially for Excel. The screen is excellent, allowing me to view a large amount of data at once. I'm so impressed that I'm already considering buying a second dual-up monitor in the near future

Nice specs on this monitor but constantly breaks down and flickers heavily or has vertical lines on macOS. Have dual monitor setup and sent those for repairs at least 4 times. About to get rid of it entirely.

Nice concept and design, the software does not work without extreme lag. There are 3rd party solutions that work much better.

Never could get the lagging software to work so went to Symless Synergy which makes the monitor work with my other monitor alongside. The KVM switch is a joke and does nothing.

The LG DUAL UP is a great monitor. I used to use a curved MSI 32" monitor. I decided to get the LG DUAL UP and it is perfect for me to design and be a software developer.

I'm writing this review to help anyone using a Mac with USB-C and/or HDMI and getting screen flicker / pulsing. I had put this monitor back in its box and stored it for the last year because of the constant flickering and pulsing of the display AND the terrible support for the aspect ratio of this monitor on MacOS. Those two issues made me give up on this thing. However, after doing some office changes and needing an easy way to move between my MacBook and Windows laptop, I pulled this monitor out of storage and set it up. The moment the screen came on the flickering / pulsing started. After going through every single option in the monitor settings menu, I stumbled across this setting: Settings > General > USB Selection ...and set the values like this: HDMI 1 USB-C HDMI 2 USB-C DisplayPort USB-B (I don't use DP so didn't change it) USB-C USB-C That fixed all the flickering and pulsing. To fix the awful support for the 16:18 aspect ratio and non-existent scaling options on MacOS you have a couple of options: - SwitchResX (which I am using) - BetterDisplay Pro They are both less than twenty bucks and completely unlocks the potential of this monitor. I'm very glad I happened to take this monitor out of storage and give it another try as I was very disappointed with it initially. HDMI 1

This thing can replace all other monitors for all kind of work / productivity tasks with the exception of music production / media consumption. The amount of screen real estate is tremendous. Actually the resolution is a bit too high, as would be for any two 21 inch 2560 x 1440 monitors stacked on top of each other. It has to sit very close to be used to its maximum potential, which might make placement next to other monitors awkward. The stand is superb and gives a lot of options. If it was 1920 x 2160 it would still be very nice. I'm not sure if it is not better to use it rotated , like 18:16 by default. Otherwise it is a little bit too high. Nevertheless, great design - the control button and menus are well placed and designed (unless you rotate it, then it takes time getting used to use them). The usb-c is a nice addition, it would be best to have one more HDMI and usb-c port. Pay attention to the quality however, I had mine replaced for a non working DP port. At one point, I saw it flicker but only in combination with several factors - some particular background colour, some particular OS, and mostly if it is a fullscreen application. Still can't figure out a particular dependency when it happens, as it hasn't been happening for some time. If someone has this screen flicker, try setting the frequency with some custom frequency software.

Ive been using this monitor for about 8 months and i love it. Works on both my PC and Mac great. The one downfall is sometimes when you switch between single and dual monitors some of the windows dont automatically transfer with it and you have to go back and get them. Overeall i absolutely love this monitor.

I love this monitor, but it seems to have an unmitigated design issue. There are several threads on Reddit of people complaining of intermittent screen flickering. Tried multiple cables, it does not make a difference, and it flickers on all inputs, USB-C, Displayport, HDMI, even using different computers. It flickers sometimes just on the menu, with no inputs attached at all. This tells me it has something to do with the power delivery or switching circuitry. I don't have the original box and I don't want to pay to send it in... help us out here LG please

Now tilt it vertically and make it twice as wide. Include a 120Hz panel with less IPS glow, add more USB-C ports, and you will have a superb office display. I love having more vertical space for office work.

Absolutely love this monitor! It give a unique view of your work or Web surfing without having to scroll. The picture is beautiful. Set up was easy. I got the Ergo stand. So many options. Had a little problem getting it to go full screen. Operator error. Someone online explained how. Now I am cooking with gas!

Such a clever idea, works really well for multitasking and separating work from personal computing when needed. It simplifies my desk setup for a slick minimalist look.

Product is not compatible with the newest MacBook and they refused to refund the monitor. It flickers constantly. I went back and forth for months with them only to deny it being their fault that the monitor is not compatible. They told me to buy a new laptop.

I love this monitor!! Have owned it for about a year now. I personally dislike dual-monitor setups, would rather just have one big screen that can intuitively display content. Widescreen monitors are TERRIBLE for web browsing, documents, and any kind of media production. I use a lot of Adobe and Avid products and they work so much more naturally on this monitor. The screen itself is very very nice, though I wish I had the option to make it about 30% dimmer than its lowest setting. The only gripe I have is that the built-in USB hub on the back doesn't have a large voltage range so it can't actually power all the peripherals I need in order to make it a 1-stop shop. Very happy customer and intend to use this monitor until it dies.

This is a really unique monitor and I'm really glad LG has made it. The 16:18 aspect ratio really has helped my work flow

The LG DualUp is a great solution if you work across multiple applications/sources, but do not have the desk space or want the hassle of a complex multi-monitor setup. The LG DualUp has proven to be the perfect fit for me. As a single monitor that is sized perfectly for stacking windows, I can arrange a ton of information easily within my field of view. The built-in KVM switch saves me so much time and hassle when working across multiple sources - some of my critical apps are Mac OS and some are Windows. Finally, the included Ergo Stand is easy to setup and keeps my workspace simple and minimal.

This monitor worked great for almost a year (runtime of 3417 hours to be exact) but then started pulsating to the point of being unusable. I tried various different cables, inputs and resetting and even tried a different computer.

This monitor has been wonderful for my workspace. The ease of connecting any computer up and the graphics works wonders for my productivity. I love having the long screen to see more at once, without having to scroll. The Ergo stand is awesome as well to help me set up my monitor exactly where I want it without struggle.

I'm a web-developer, and I'm using huge 42in monitor as my main one. And I need additional one for IDE (displaying code). I found vertical 28in 16:9 too small, and additional 42in 16:9 too big. For some time I was using two 22in FullHD monitors stacked on top of each other, and found that screen space perfect for me, but I hated having bezel between monitors. I was looking for 16:18 screen long before, and now, thanks to LG, it's actually available! Moreover, it has perfect size (height) to match my 42in monitor (see photo). Build-in mount arm makes it easier to install monitor as a second one, and not being afraid that it can fall while standing on the edge of the desk. Plus you can easily wipe desktop under it. I think this aspect ratio is perfect for coding and IDEs (I can split workspace into 4 sections (have 4 files open simultaneously), and have tall/huge work files tree to navigate. Screen quality is perfect, although I'm using mainly for displaying text. No dead pixels spotted. The main downside is price. I wish LG extend it's lineup of 16:18 monitors to have more simple ones. I'm not using USB-C connection for laptop, and probably 1920x2160 resolution will be more suitable for my tasks. But anyways, I do recommend this format for anyone who is looking to extend their workspace!

I now own three of these LG dual-up monitors arranged as a compact six headed display which is easier to mount on a table, has less weight, takes less power and easier to see all the pixels than my previous six monitors. The joystick menu button on the bottom edge of the display unit takes a while to learn. The HDMI and USB-C and Display Port work as expected, no unhappy surprises. I have not yet figured out a good way to switch display sources other than the manual joystick.

Overall I am very happy having now used it for a few weeks. I bought a 32" LG to go along with it and now I get the best of portrait and landscape. A few more thoughts below. -The mount is such that it cannot be easily mounted through a desk grommet or hole and if you do it will leave a slight gap where the mount passes though desk. My desk faces our entry vs a wall so this will not be a problem for most. -Screen offers a a ton of vertical real estate but does take some adjusting (especially for your neck). I wanted to send it back when I first got it, but I have gotten used to it and now love it. -I had two 27" LG monitors previously and own two Gram Laptops, generally I am fan of their quality.

I'm currently using two LG DualUps in a side-by-side configuration and let me just say these monitors have turned me into a productivity monster! I went from a Dell Ultrawide to the dual LG DualUp set-up and I am NEVER looking back. Having four windows across two DualUps is fantastic and makes getting work done so much easier! Oh, and writing/reading code within a window scaling the entire vertical length of the monitor is a joy! This is the monitor for you if you want to get things done!

As a developer I like my monitor in portrait mode, but I've always found traditional monitors too narrow for the way I work. The DualUp monitor looked like it would solve that issue. I'm happy to say it meets my needs perfectly. I plan to purchase a 2nd one in the comming weeks. I'll keep one in for coding in, and the 2nd will be used in PBP mode to serve as 2 monitors for my email and other secondary content.

You should made it so that the top screen could rotate down beside the other one, giving the ability to have bottom/top or side/side

I had been using an LG UltraWide monitor for work, and with my laptop next to the big display, there was a lot of turning and twisting to cover all of that space. It may not seem like a big deal, but after a few months of full-time WFH it started to wear on me. The LG DualUp was a great option and having the space of two 1440p monitors stacked seemed like a great idea, plus it has a USB-C port with PD so I can run the display and my work laptop with a single cable. My setup is a lot cleaner t...
