I absolutely agree with the other reviewers - this is a wonderful lens. I can add that its color rendition is stunning. I own lots of lenses, but this one beats them all for colors.

Just starting to use it but it is the perfect lens for what I take the most pictures of-landscapes, old buildings, outdoor 'street' scenes. Sharp, clean, and compact. What you see is exactly what the picture shows.

The Summicron-T 23 /f2 ASPH is equivalent to the 35 mm in 35 mm format which is the favored focal length of most Leica photojournalist. This focal length corresponds to how one sees a picture in one's mind. With a maximum aperture of f/2, it is ideal for creating the bokeh effects which are a Leica tradition. Compact in size, this lens is ideal to have at any time.
