Less than a year after purchasing, the camera won't even start up, lens refuses to open up. I've had this issue with previous Canons, and thought it was something I was doing wrong, but this one doesn't even try. Really disappointed with this purchase. When it worked, the camera was great, and the video it takes is very good. If you buy it, hopefully yours will still work after the 90 day warranty is up.

This is a compact, easily carried camera that works as well as larger, more complex units. Easy to use and understand, the camera does action shots particularly well ~ we raise Labrador Retrievers and like taking both stills and videos of them in action. This camera does not disappoint in either use. I would definitely recommend it to others looking for a small, easy to carry and use unit.

I bought this camera as a 2nd camera to keep in my car or shirt pocket. I have a very good DSLR but cannot always have it handy. Camera is very versital and takes good quality pics. Also has good battery life. I have not tried all of it's features yet but love it so far. Biggest negatives are not a fault of the camera. Being used to a large DSLR I was shocked at how difficult it is to hold and operate being small. Of course the small size is also the reason I bought it. I also do not like the absence of a viewfinder but I knew that when I bought it. The printed manual that comes with the camera has very little info in it. I initially thought the camera had limited capabilities until I decided to look at the manual that was on the CD. All things considred I am very pleased with the camera for my intended use. i would recommend to persons that have the same needs.

As far as most point and shoots go, I rather like Canon ones. This was a great camera for under $100 (price when I bought it). I have a dslr as well, and sometimes the macro mode on this point and shoot does a better job of focusing than I do on the dslr! It's nice to have something small and compact to bring around.

Very nice P/S camera. It comes with different color that make it cute! The AF is good, IQ is good, the zoom could be bigger but it covers the essential. Lots of creative mode. Very small, fits perfectly in a pocket. The battery life is more than correct.

I bought this for my wife due to it's small size and simplicity. I had no idea that she would be so thrilled with it - I may need a bigger hard drive in my computer to store all the pics. She uses it for family pictures and produce pictures for her job. It does great with HD video clips! It's easy to take with you. I would have liked to purchased one of the colored versions, but everywhere I looked the prices were $30 or more higher. Since that doesn't make better pictures, I opted for the lower price. Adorama had a great price for the kit - best I could find. Delivery was super!

Lightweight camera for everyday carrying and travel. Video and Still shots. Easy to use. Great photo quality. It is a bit soft and sensitive to motion. I can't always use a tripod to keep it steady.
