This is an amazing bass and really improve the experience even if you have a 900 soundbar. I will recomend to wired the bass to avoid popping sounds, after I did that the sound was amazing.

Got the 500 soundbar and definitely needed some bass. Paired it with this 500 subwoofer and actually sounds great with Bluetooth, not so good with the TV. Using eArc hdmi(tried optical too) and there is zero bass. Changed the settings and still can’t get the bass to sound like Bluetooth. Not so “smart” and isn’t a easy plug and play setup as you need WiFi and a smart phone. What happened to the basics simple setups things used to be...

I bought this bass module around 2 years ago. I've had multiple connection problems with the bass module and the soundbar. Recently the bass module stopped working. The lights don't light up anymore and it's pretty much useless now. I don't recommend this product.

I bought this around 6 months ago, and I just can’t believe the amount of bass coming from such a small enclosure. It can be heard throughout my entire house, and even still sounds good!

I live in a 1100 sqft townhome. I setup my TV and the speakers in my basement 10' x 15' with adjacent open den room beside and a short hallway at the back. This woofer is LOUD and deeeep. I paired this with soundbar 700 and the compatible bose small rear surround speakers. I love listening to music and watching movies with this new system. I tested them watching Shrek 2 movie perfect for testing the whole system. For the size of my room I didn't need the subwoofer 700. I set it up to 60% from my bose app. Previously, I owned a down firing subwoofer look like R2D2 (round and as tall) and I used to live in a 1800 sqft home. The difference is none.

My Soundtouch 300 provides great sound but lacks in bass. I plugged in the 500 and it added the perfect amount of bass for movies, music and TV in general. It was a breeze to pair with the 300. I'm pleased

For me, this was an addition to the Soundbar 500 I just placed in the master bedroom. More than enough bass for this use and that pure, Bose sound. Very pleased.

I am having the same issue as some others. My bass module was connected for about a week or two. Then all of a sudden it was no longer connected and I have not been able to reconnect. This is extremely frustrating. Especially having spent the amount of money for such a product, the last thing you want is for it to not work properly.

Paired with the sound bar 700 in a room c. 15m2. Great and can go loud. Granted it’s not as deep as the 700 module, but, it does the trick and is a very worthwhile add on to the soundbar.

I am using many Bose products and I would say products are good though over priced but service is worst emailed 10times and no response, also visited service Center they simple said your product is outdated and you know how much I spent on product it is Rs 80000. i bought this 3 months ago and im kinda frustrated with the bass 500 because it makes a popping sound occasionally and i called the costumer service they said it might be the wifi interference and the advice me to move away the wifi router wich i did but still it makes a popping sound im gonna call them again and see what they gonna say or else im gonna bring this back where i bought it.

Bought the 300 Soundbar & 500 Base. SB not too bad setting up although not seemless but after trying off & on all day it’s still not pairing. Tried Option 1 & 2 in the manual to bring the 500 Base online, checked YouTube & downloaded both SoundTouch app & Bose Music app...worthless times 2 as they immediately go into Searching For Speakers & Add Product (respectively) with no option to bypass etc, but none of the above are working. Previous reviews don’t hold much hope for Customer Service although I’ll try. If it’s not resolved by close of business tomorrow it’s going back in the box for a return & i’ll Purchase the competition’s comparable devices. Best wishes.

I've had this in my house for 2 hours and STILL don't have it set up! I bought the Bass Module 500 along with the Soundbar 500. Sounded great in the store, for the price. Took me some time to get the Soundbar connected. Now for the Bass... the instructions referred me to the Sound Touch 300 remote. WHAT? I don't have one! The remote from the Soundbar 500 doesn't have the buttons they tell you to push. I tried a few combinations, nothing! So, I called customer service, after being on hold for 1/2 an hour, I explained my situation and was told they would send me the correct manual. They sent me the Soundbar manual. REALLY?? I then decided to do an on line chat, that was 45 minutes ago and no one has responded to me. HOW am I supposed to set up equipment with incorrect information? I looked online, same manual!! VERY frustrating and unprofessional! I'm now on hold (probably for another half hour) with the hopes of having someone walk me through this!

I got this Bass Module 500 together with the Bose Soundbar 500 about 3 months ago and my whole family is really happy with the purchase. It is hard to believe how powerful this little 10 inch cube is. It definitely takes any music or movies to a whole new level, you are really feeling it. Honestly, I normally put may be half of the volume for everything and it's pretty loud and powerful. Sometimes I'm scared that my neighbors downstairs will come and complain. I really love the design of this subwoofer, it's very elegant and sleek, matches well with my furniture. The size is very compact, not too heavy. I've owned other subwoofers in the past and they were bigger and bulkier with some soft fabric around that my cats scratched a lot. This one doesn't have any fabric around. I like that it connects wirelessly to the Bose Soundbar 500 once you turn it on, makes it very easy to use. All I normally have to do to turn them both on is to turn on my bluetooth on the phone and it will automatically suggest the Soundbar 500, then I click to connect and done. It's faster then going to the Bose app. I normally like to play music on my phone during the day and at night sometimes we use a projector to watch a movie with my husband. One little suggestion that I can give is not to put it on the carpet because it will absorb some of the bass. We have a medium carpet and it has some foam underneath to make it cushiony. When I first put the subwoofer down on the carpet, I was not sure if it was on or not, then I placed it on the lower shelf of the TV stand and I could feel a dramatic difference right a way. So, after using this Bass Module 500 and the Soundbar 500 for 3 months, we believe that it was a good investment because can save money on going to the movie theater and watch something at home. Also, we are saving not only on movie tickets, but also on snacks. Usually in the movies food or snacks are highly overpriced for what it is, we can get some organic or natural snacks in the supermarket and eat at home while watching a movie. I think, this set would make a great gift for anyone who appreciates great quality electronics and likes to watch movies and listen to music at home.

So i got the Bass module to go along with my soundtouch 300 soundbar as it was supposedly compatible. I must admit i couldn't pair it up wirelessly so have it connected with the cable which isn't a big deal as the Bass Module is tucked away behind the TV however the wireless rear speakers paired up without a problem. One thing i have to say though is the sound is just what I come to expect from Bose it is clear an punchy and no distortion even with the volume turned up. In fact have had to reduce the bass level from normal as it was a bit much but i think that is because the room has wood floors and minimal soft furnishings. I have other soundtouch products so this is a great compliment to everthing else Overall I would recommend this, i'm certainly happy with my purchase

I have this along with the 500 sound bar and it accompanies it very well. The bass it adds gives the depth that the sound bar on it's own misses. I have this connected up to TV as my sound system for movies, general TV and gaming. I have used this to replace my floor standing speakers in order to save space and this has worked out very well. The volume is connected through my TV remote and allows me to control it all through one remote although sometimes the sound bar doesn't come on immediately and I have to use the dedicated bose remote to turn it on. I'm not sure yet why this is but it's not a huge issue to overcome. The design is as good as you come to expect from bose and has this sleek/stealth look to it.
