The lens arrived in good condition. And as for the lens itself, it's superb. Physical quality is something you can appreciate even years ahead. As for optics, they are not without flaws but they are overall great and a worthy investment.

Lovey lens to take wide angle and buildings. Sample below on a Leica SL2.

In the recent past, initially rented this lens in the Leica M-mount and found it to be as good as any of the super wide primes from the big-2 DSLR manufacturers. Now using for architecture on my A7R3, it is fantastic. Well built, rectiliniar with minimal distortion. Shooting this lens on my A6500, it becomes a 22mm F4.5. Even wide-open, when zone-focusing it becomes a fast, high-res combination for pr, candids, street shooting et.al., an unintended benefit.

Using this on my Leica M9 really lets me get EVERYTHING in the photo. I am using the optional viewfinder for composition, which is about all you need to do after setting the aperture to F/11 and zone focus at about 15' It's like having a Point-n-shoot camera that yields striking images. The vignetting is not bad and image is sharp.

I've been shooting this hyperfocal at f/8 (i.e. set infinity at far f/8 bar) and it focuses down to about 0.5m (1.5 ft). On the Fuji, I just bump the ISO up to 1600 or 3200, where it's still pretty clean. On the leica, I push HP5 to 3200. The photos are great, really sharp and look good. On the fuji, I can zoom in as far as it can zoom it and can still read labels or markings. I was thinking of getting the version 2, as I'm mainly shooting M6, but I'm glad I got the version 3 for doing some digital with it. I've not done a side-by-side comparison with the Fuji 14mm, which I also own. Informally, the Voigt looks at least as good in the center. I've not specifically compared the corners so cannot say.

Voigtlander Super Wide-Heliar 15mm f/4.5 Lens for Sony E-Mount Cameras - Aspheric super wide-angle lens with integrated lens hood
Commited to highest quality Lenses, that support latest camera technologies with high precision mechanics: The brand new Voigtlander lens that can be used on Sony E-Mount cameras without an adapter.
According to the tradition of Voigtlander the first three lenses of this new line are covering an extreme wide angle range and are perfect for landscape and architecture photographers:
The 15mm lens is already available with a VM-Mount. As this extreme wide lens are creating a fast and smooth commuication between lens, camera and photographer, which is extremely important. If enabled the camera changes automatically in magnifying mode during focusing which allows hightest accurancy. All lens-relevant data such as focal length, aperture and focal distance are transmitted to the camera. This data is shown in the viewfinder/display and used for metering and image stabilization.
The selective aperture control system for full frame is used for the first time in this lens - a vital feature for filmmakers as it allows a stepless and soundless aperture control.
