i brought this last week. It doesn't let you scan from the machine at all (no setting for this) so you have to rely on Windows scan app. However, it will only scan one page at a time, even on the feeder. No way to change the setting. No software for the printer (they send you a CD but in reality, who is using CDs now, my laptop doesn't even have a disc drive). Wish i hadn't brought it now. Also - it scans wonky. Eurgh.

Send more time reloading printer WiFi driver than actual printing

I bought our printer on April 28. I'm very happy with how quiet and efficient it operates. I especially appreciate the waste toner bottle. My old laser printer did not have this and after 5 years the sensors were ruined from toner. From now on, we will only own Xerox printers!

The perfect printer!

Bought and set up with a Xerox printer stand to elevate from the floor.  Was the easiest and fastest printer set up with my I-phone.  This printer creates great color and has a lot of features I still have to learn about. I highly recommend.

C235 Color Printer

Bought this printer for my small office.  I am stunned by the amount of ink and toner cartridges that I go through and the cost for it is astronomical - I can buy a new printer for the amount I have spent in ink so far.  I am rethinking this purchase and would guide someone looking to purchase away from this printer.

Horrible with Toner and Ink

Gave this machine a chance, but the toner goes way too fast, print quality is decent as usual, but toner is extremely expensive. 4 pack of "high quality" toner is more expensive than the printer itself. There's absolutely zero chance that a team can have this machine and not spend an insane amount of money for the same quality as any other printer. I've been a Xerox client for a decade but I'm thinking its time to move on soon. Very disappointing costs. To make matters worse - Xerox removed eConcierge which was a big plus for us. Time to explore the waters else where.

Average printer with extremely expensive toner

This is the worst printer experience I have had in over 40 years.  The printer seems fine but the software is so bad not even my tech guy can get it to work properly and consistently.

Avoid this printer at all costs.

Printer worked great, but the ink costs almost as much as a new printer and when I tried to replace the ink, the printer told me it was a third party cartridge. It was not. 3 hours with customer service and they could not figure it out. Finally, they said that the new cartridges "might" be "starter cartridges" and there was nothing to be done. At that point I was exhausted from being on the phone. Hundreds of dollars of brand ink, now completely unusable. They said they could send someone to try and service the printer. For how much? $300 just for the initial appointment, not including any fixes... again, just about the cost of buying another one of these printers (or could easily buy a different printer from another company). 
It is really unfortunate, because for years this printer gave me no issues. But the practices of the company are insane.

Excellent Printer- Would Never Buy Again

I bought it a year or 2 ago. It's not the best in speed but it does the job. If you send multiple items to print simultaneously, it will miss some of the items and not print them. It's EXTREMELY loud. I have had it replaced once but it still does the same thing and i was told (not verbatim) you get what you pay for....pretty much. It runs out of ink FAST and the replacements are pricey. Overall, there is no saving in money when buying this product.

I have been using professional copies for over 30 years.  The Xerox C235 Color Multifunction Printer is all that I need in my small office.  The print quality is excellant and it is wireless which allows me to print from other devices including my cell phone

Great Features

I purchased about a year ago.  I think it is a slow printer.  The intensity of printed pages seems to be light in color and when increasing the color, it does not seem to change.  Sorry for the not so positive review, but honesty is good.

C235 PRINTER

I bought this one month ago to give myself a temporary resolve to my home office being in storage. It will make a good compliment and backup to my stored C405. I do my research to perform my own IT functions as needed. Setup was quite easy, initially reviewing the "Easy Setup" application, I jumped into every item within the home screen to assure myself a thorough setup. Once done, my first print was the purchase invoice from my MacBook Pro. Perfect right out of the gate. I have just a few minor questions for clarification with Xerox. This is a great MFP for the price point and highly recommended for its value, quiet operation and ease of use. Keep up the good work Xerox!

Compact Powerhouse!

Easy to setup and the small footprint makes this printer perfect for small offices and limited workspace. I needed this for home use, and was going to get the the Versalink C605, but the footprint was too large for my area. I found the C235 and am happy with it.

Quality

I've been very loyal to Xerox for almost 10 years, but once they removed eConcierge, that was a red flag. Now they sell every printer with a "starter" toner which I think is a scam. Spend $400 on a printer. Then immediately spend another $400-$500 on toner. It's ridiculous for any small business. This alone is making me want to look else where. Xerox needs to change their ways or they'll lose more customers FAST as time progresses. We will be one of them.

Not a bad printer, but toner is very overpriced.

I bought a laser printer because I print infrequently and ink jet printers get clogged when unused. After only 150 pages print quality is horrible and toner is low. I contacted support and was told that it was past the 1 year warranty and I needed to buy toner. There is no option to refill this model of cartridge and a new "standard yield" 1500 page (same as the starter cartridge) is $70 so for only $280 I can print another 200 low quality pages. If I get the "high capacity" cartridges at $100 each, maybe I can print 250 - 300 low quality pages for $400. Or, I could buy a brand new C235 for $400 and get 10% off! This has to be the worst purchase I have ever made. Instead of dumping more money into toner, I am looking for another brand that has refillable cartridges and new at a reasonable price.

Do not buy! Cheaper to buy new printer than ink!

It's industrial waste. The replacement toner is so expensive it negates any benefits. The toner included is promotional. You will only get 100-200 pages before you have to spend another $500+ on toner.Cartridges are already getting scarce because they change models too often. Just make something that works and standardize the toner catridges.Stop building junk.

Je suis un particulier et afin d'éviter ces odeurs désagréables, je souhaite savoir s'il est possible de la débrancher lorsque je ne l'utilise pas. Celà risque-t-il d'endommager le four par exemple ou cela pourrait-il provoquer la perte de données Wi-Fi par exemple. Bien cordialement !

This is the 2nd one we have. This ink is expensive for this model. Otherwise it does it job.

Before you Buy

Bought this 1 year ago and like the printer. It is a good multi-printer with good functionality. The only draw-back is the interface with network, unable to get any type of network to update firmware.

I had this printer for several months and had no problems. Excellent print quality that is more affordable to use than any inkjet.

Very Nice

The printer functions reasonably well. Black and white print quality is good. Color print quality is okay, but typically does not print colors a in the hue of source material. My biggest gripe is when one print cartridge is out or low in ink, you cannot print anything, even black and white until to press continue often more than once on the function screen. Very inconvenient and would have been a deal breaker had I known this before purchasing. You have to purchase and install new toner cartridge to fix issue.

Received my Xerox printer through a grant for Childcare Centers...I've had to get familiar with it for sure before I understood how it all worked.  And I'm still learning...Replacing these cartridges will be a lot different than an HP for sure.  Love how fast it prints and it pretty quiet.
