The Celestron 0.7x reducer has quality written all over it. It is beefy!! In fact, ensure your mount can handle the additional weight or order a new counterweight to offset the additional weight of this reducer.

Celestron EdgeHD 11? 0.7x Focal Reducer

A very solidly built lens. The thing is bigger and much heavier than I thought but exactly what I wanted. Excellent quality, fully satisfied with the lens. Adds a new and different capability to my astrophotography.

Solid and Capable Lens

I seem to have been lucky (after hours+ online  searching) to have acquired the last in-stock Celestron Reducer Lens (.7x-Edge HD 1100) that was available in the entire country! Adorama had only one (1) left in stock. Thank you Adorama for your VERY quick shipment. Size-wize, in real life visual, this lens is much larger than you would imagine, adding a great deal of weight to the back-end of the telescope ... adjust accordingly (upon a strong mount). I am waiting for clear skies to try it out.

Feels like winng the lottery

Every Celestron 11” EdgeHD owner should have one of these.  It makes a dramatic performance improvement, both visually and for imaging.  I never take it off my scope.

0.7 Reducer

The 0.7 focal reducer increases the focal ratio on the scope to F7 permitting much shorter exposures, and reduces the focal length to about 2000 mm, permitting a wider field of view, though less magnification. For general use this is a much more useful setup. Given atmospheric disturbance at the higher magnification it is questionable if much is gained. It also makes it a lot easier to find and center objects. This is a big, heavy lens, and increases the weight and changes the balance of the OTA. I am using a C-clamp on a bracket screwed onto the dovetail the counterbalance the OTA when the focal reducer it attached.
