I love this binos. Compact with a terrific 9.3 degree FOV and very good resolution for a 7x35 binocular. The diopter is some hard to adjust, but no problem for me.

This is an excellent binocular if you need maximum brightness for dim light situations. However, like all wide aperture lenses, there is a price to pay in size and weight. I also have the Nikon Prostaff 3S 8X42 binoculars which are lighter and smaller with a wider field of view and 1X greater magnification. Both models have excellent optics. For me, the Aculon would be best used on a boat where you might need to search for a landing spot at dusk or looking out for potential obstacles.

Loved this product as far as optics, clarity, and ergonomics, go, but I at first found the diopter ring tigh,it did loosen but started to feel "gravely or sandy" and then the diopter ring broke, sticking at 18x

Had to have binoculars serviced . They were cooperative and fast .(rare these days) I think the old aculons were better but still pleased. I will buy more Nikon products after getting great service.

I read several reviews good and bad before ordering. We have many zoom and fixed focus binoculars and have been birding over 50 years. We like to have a pair in almost every room in our houses. The hard to turn eyepiece / diopter was not an issue - our is perfectly smooth and easy to turn. Focus is fine - images are crystal clear. Won't focus as close-range as some but they're 10x minimum so that is expected. The field of view is smaller than our other zooms at 10 power but that is not a problem if you are experienced with locating your object. Yes, once you zoom in you need to to adjust the diopter focus - same is true with all zoom binoculars to some extent. Overall, these are not good 'beginners' binoculars. Not good for long hiking - they are large and heavy. We need them for at-home birding, looking long range from inside and then zooming in. For an experienced user viewing from home they are perfect - powerful magnification and crystal clear optics. I will be getting 2 more pairs.

These binoculars have been something between a pleasant surprise and a revelation - Lightweight, sharp and easy to adjust, they've added a new dimension to birding.

Great pair of binoculars! Use them for birding and down on the beach. Great clear optics for everyday use. Love how looking through trees you get a 3D look. Totally satisfied with my Nikon Aculon A211 10x42.

I've been fond of binoculares for quite a long time. Last time I purchased one in Moskow back in 1993 and this one is much better.I simply recommend it to anyone looking for a gem.

Please don't buy these, they barely focus at 10 power (VERY soft focus) and get awful zoomed up any.. Called nikon and they said to send them in for service.. Why? their brand new and awful, why sink anymore into shipping them... I have about 6 pair of old "Cheap" binocs and they work fine. I have a pair of 10 powers I bought back in the early 80's at a tent tool sale for $12.00 and they beat these nikons by far.. brighter and they focus sharp... save your money for something else, really

Perfect for all around use, from birding to looking at ships in the ocean. Smooth, sharp focus and great zoom feature. Very good ergonomics and grip. Not the lightest, but the great features are worth the trade off for a little extra weight. Highly recommend.

It was slightly less robust than the Bushnell Legacy WP 10x50, and, I assume, the discontinued Bushnell 8x42, and the warranty is somewhat less helpful. However, this Nikon Aculon 8x42 binocular's quality for the price can not be beat by any other available model. My wife finds it easy to use. The case is junk, wo a strap, and too small to add closed-cell blue foam/ensolite padding to the inside. Find a strapped shoulder bag with a real zipper (not spiral type) AND a flap/strap with a clip to backup the zipper for safety. Use a Ziplock bag inside to keep the binoc dust free. The binoc strap plastic adjuster is NOT secure, despite my very careful following the installation steps. Experiment (carefully) to find the best length for you, and sew the strap to that fixed length with durable thread. The eyepiece cap is good. The objective caps are useless because they can not be fixed to a cord/the binoc, and will soon be lost.

I purchased this product for the magnification, which is exactly as I expected. Focus is easy to adjust. They are a bit heavier than my old binoculars (10 x 50), but neck strap is also sturdier. Will be using when at National Park next month to view wildlife. Won't know for sure if vast improvement over old model until then. Didn't want zoom binoculars; have a pair and they are too difficult to keep steady. These are small enough that that won't be a problem.

I am very happy with my Nikon 7x50 Aculon A211 binoculars. I purchased them for stargazing. They work great. Previously, I have struggled to use binoculars, which I now think is because I was using cheap ones. I would consider these to be entry level quality binoculars. Overall, very pleased with my purchase.

Very nice product. Really enjoy them for star gazing. Capable of seeing many stars not able to see with the naked eye, but not strong enough to see the rings of Saturn or craters on the moon. They are also very nice for viewing wildlife during day time hours.

Purchased these 'used' and after a good cleanup, am impressed with the optical quality. Good budget deal for the price paid. About the only improvement could be some lens caps- am working on that part. ??

All in all I can't complain. Best binocular I have owned. Very sharp and clear. Only wish I would have bought a tripod adapter. Hard to hold still at long distances, Stars, the moon etc..

I got these for a preschooler who is showing interest in astronomy. They work fine and he really likes them. At this price they are good enough that he won’t be frustrated by something that does not work but if he drops them it won’t be heartbreaking.

For the price these are very good binoculars. Optics are clear focus seems right on and power lever is in a convenient location. They are not for rugged field use or foul weather. But then, their price tag is not in the thousands.
