Big lens, very well built, and the only one (as far as I know) with such an aperture on the market for an ultra wide angle. I bought it to replace my Zuiko 12mm f2 in low light conditions. It is sharp but you do not expect less for a Voigtlander with this price

I just love it to death! This lens is so much fun to use, a perfect companion to my Voigtlander 25. It takes a great picture. I've read varying opinions about its sharpness, but that attribute seems fine to me. The lens is big and heavy, though not out of line for my camera (Olympus OMD EM5 II + Fotodiox grip). It focuses easily wide open; it's hard to miss the exact point of perfect focus with the camera's magnification feature. Wide open, one can see in the dark through this lens. I've used it a lot for astronomical pictures. At 0.95 even a short exposure causes the heavens to blaze. Stars toward the sides exhibit considerable coma--similar to that from the 25, maybe a bit more--but it isn't that big of a deal. There is some distortion to the sides, most noticeable as buildings and people lean inward. That effect can be fairly strong. I'm getting used to framing with that in mind. I also have software that copes with it, when it matters to me. The benefits of the super-fast aperture are everything one expects. Amazing subject isolation on an ultra-wide! I'm still experimenting with the possibilities. I've used the 10.5 on two sight-seeing excursions in the last month. It has consistently pleased me. I highly recommend it.

Voigtlander Nokton 10.5mm f/0.95 is designed to be used with Micro Four Thirds cameras Like the other lenses in the MFT range, the 10.5mm f/0.95 features a Selective Aperture Control System, which means that the manual aperture ring can be used with click stops for stills work or in click-less mode for shooting movies.
The 10.5mm focal length will produce an angle of view equivalent to 21mm lens on a full frame system. The lens uses 13 elements in 10 groups, and weighs 1.28lbs, while the iris closes to f/16 and uses 10 blades to form a circular aperture. The resolution is 'very good' even when the aperture is used at its widest setting, due to the use of an aspherical element in the construction. The closest focus point is a remarkable 17cm/6.69 inches.
The lens measures 82.4mm in length and is 77mm at its widest point, and will use a 72mm filter thread. It will be available only in black, and comes with a petal hood.
