Battery with this refurbished camera has been disappointing. It has been totally discharged three times in under three hundred pictures over ten days.

This camera has got all the features a casual photographer like me needs. As somebody said, this is truly a Mercedes in point in shoot. Though not that good during night shoot (no other point in shoot are good either, go 4 DSLR), at [$] I dont think I can find anything better than this.

Got it to take photos of my daughter, pets and family members, mainly, and have been very happy with it. Will use it for travel and events also, but haven't had a chance to really evaluate it for that purpose.

I wanted a compact, reliable travel camera to use and not have to drag my heavy professional gear. This camera performs that function very well. Not top notch gear of course but well worth the money.

I bought this to use alongside SLR camera. Its light and fit well in pocket. Very good picture quality in most cases. Battery life is not bad but using the GPS feature drains battery a lot. Overall this is a fine camera with a lots of fine feature and easy to bring along everywhere you go.

I purchased this product through my brother from US to India. But the major fault is the Flash unit not worked from the first day. I approach the service center in India but the cost of Flash Unit is tooo high.

This camera lives in my purse because I wanted a great quality, but compact and easy to bring with me, camera. Thank goodness, because I have been able to catch some great moments with it, from amazing sunsets and nature shots, to photographing my child playing. I am particularly impressed by the zoom when in video mode. This new model lets you have an actual optical zoom in video mode- not just a little digital zoom that the previous models had. For a compact point and shoot camera, I am impressed by the picture quality, range of features, and ease of use. And the software lets you upload your video right to YouTube. Excellent camera.

Love the color, more pink than red. the zoom is fantastic for as little as the camera is and it takes wonderful pictures.

I bought this camera a couple of months ago at a retail store to take with me whenever I don't have have the need for DSLR bulk. It's a great camera, the settings are intuitive and it's very easy to change from one shooting mode to another. The scene modes are terrific, and it even puts out good video quality. I have to disagree with the reviewer who said this camera doesn't produce sharp images. I've tested it with every setting, and the photos are simply outstanding, including in low light. The photos I've taken with the SX230IS have amazingly finite detail. Love it! At this price, it really doesn't get any better.

Great compact camera with lots of features. One of the best zooms on a compact camera. Easy to carry everywere and works good in low light.

I love the size of this full featured camera. It takes excellent photos and video. I don't know how they measure zoom capabilities but this cameras 14X optical zoom reaches about as far as the 4X zoom on my other Canon point-and-shoot. I haven't figured that out yet. Battery life is adequate but again not as long as my other camera. I have purchased 2 extra batteries because they are very inexpensive online.

I keep this camera on me at all times to capture unexpected moments when I don't have professional equipment. So far, it has been great for quick group shots, capturing faraway curiosities with the zoom lens, and studying motion with the 240fps video. Image quality is acceptable for the size; it's not uber-superb, but I think that is expecting too much.

Adorama did a great job of getting this to me way earlier than I expected to receive it! Love the camera, used it at a basketball game recently and got some great, clear pictures with this. upgraded from a canon elph sd600.

I really like it. I have 3 other digitsl cameras, all bigger and more sophisticated. I wanted a good pocket camera and this with its 14X is perfect. Canon makes great cameras.

This is an excellent camera. I have SLRS of varying quality and sophistication. I wanted a good camera to stick in my pocket on trips and this is it. Canon did a great job with this. Only fault and it is not a big one, you have to remember to turn off the GPS when the camera is not in use...because it seems to drain your battery. And Adorama was superb.

I bought this camera for our trip to France and was very pleased with it. I was able to take pictures where flash was not allowed and the pictures turned out great. I was using a SDHC class 10 card. The only things I don't like about this camera are no viewfinder and the location of the flash. I adjusted to the flash so it really wasn't a problem. I am not a professional photographer but I prefer using the class 10 card as I have tried using the class 4 and was not as pleased with the photos. I had a Canon before so it wasn't hard to adjust to the new one.

For those times carrying a SLR isn't an option. The image stabilization is very good for a compact point and shoot.

I take garden photos and was disappointed in the quality of pictures. Pictures are only clear in the very centre, and blurry everywhere else, regardless of setting. Not like the old reliable Canon Sure Shot A70 we had for 5 years. This one didn't live up to the Canon quality we enjoyed for years. Sorry, two thumbs down on this one.
