Sounds great with the pair of D15 floorstanding speakers for the front of my home theatre. The finish is sleek and sophisticated.

I have this center paired with the D17 towers, with D7's as surrounds. I have the D5c as replacement for my still excellent Pro Cinema 200 center. While the Pro Cinema is still a great speaker, the D5c is another step up. It just conveys sound in an easy and natural way, and with a weight that is far bigger than its' stature. When playing Guardians of the Galaxy through my Apple TV into my Marantz SR8015 (amazing movie and receiver, the sound of Thanos' voice was huge, deep, and just filled the room. My audiophile friend looked at me smiling, like that was unreal. I'm using separate amps as well, which I highly recommend doing with this speaker as it just brings it all out, although they will still be amazing using just the receiver for power. This is a very clean, gorgeous, and competent sounding center speaker, and I recommend it unreservedly. photos to come.

Having downsized our home I was forced to give up a full home theater w/ BP2002 Towers, CLR 2300 Center + 4xBP2X Surrounds + 12" Supercube. Even at 20 years old this was and remains the best sounding home theater and music experience I have heard. Now onto my new setup which is D9's paired with a D5c Center. The sound from these speakers is great and clarity rivals that of the BP series however I initially hoped that with the passive radiators to get by w/o a sub but just couldn't get the sound I wanted so added the D9 to the mix a week later. With the D9 the overall experience improved significantly leading me to the 5 star rating. Make no mistake these speakers are not as immersive and of course not as powerful as the large Bi-Polar arrays having built-in subs but for the size they are worthy competitors and sound great. The glacier white cabinets are attractive and look very sleek and modern and get frequent praise from friends. My only wish would have been that the front of the speakers also been in white vs. the silver finish so they would look better with the covers removed. If you are tired of your sound bar and looking for an attractive, space saving and great sounding system I would highly recommend these speakers. Just like my old setup which was paired to the top of the line Denon AVR I have the D9's+D5c paired to a Denon AVR as well just one that was about 1/8th the price of the previous one. Might add rears later but with the room layout it would be very difficult so for now I'm happy!!

Bring cinematic audio to your living room with the Demand Series D5c 2-Way Center Channel Speaker in Gloss White. This sleek and modern speaker is the heart of your home theater system, delivering full-range sound and an expansive sound field for an immersive, detailed listening experience.
Engineered by Definitive Technology, a brand synonymous with high-quality audio equipment, the D5c features a 2-way driver configuration. This includes two 5.25" Balanced Double Surround System (BDSS) drivers and a 1" aluminum dome tweeter. This combination perfectly reproduces film dialogue and music, making it the ideal match for our Demand Series towers and bookshelf speakers in your home cinema setup.
The D5c's vertically offset 1" Aluminum Dome Tweeter, coupled with our 20/20 Wave Alignment Lens, minimizes wave cancellations off the front baffle. This design delivers a more precise center stereo image and ensures clear, detailed high-frequency performance.
The dual 5.25" patented BDSS woofers provide greater excursion and output, offering superior midrange detail and tighter bass compared with other drivers of similar size. This sophisticated speaker also features Dolby Atmos technology, allowing for a more immersive and realistic sound experience.
The D5c is built with the latest premium audiophile-quality parts, including polypropylene metal-film capacitors and air-core inductors. These high-end components meticulously manage frequencies for clean and crystalline treble, refined and articulate midrange, and linear, low-distortion bass.
Our patented Linear Response Waveguide extends both on-axis and off-axis frequency dispersion for more natural midrange timbre and precise imaging. This high-tech speaker doesn't limit your center channel to home theater only. It brilliantly anchors Dolby Atmos-encoded music tracks, multichannel concert videos, and multichannel hi-res music, making it a versatile addition to your audio setup.
The D5c's stylish design features extruded aluminum front baffles with a bead-blasted finish for a timeless look. Each speaker is meticulously sanded and painted with five layers of premium gloss paint, then buffed to a near-mirror finish. This sophisticated speaker not only enhances your audio experience but also adds a touch of elegance to your home decor.
