This sophisticated device is designed to deliver extended operating range and superior audio quality, making it an innovative choice for industry professionals.
The IFBT4 transmitter can function as a standalone device or be seamlessly integrated into popular intercom systems. It employs the patented Lectrosonics Digital Hybrid Wireless technology (U.S. Patent 7,225,135), a groundbreaking method that digitally encodes the audio in the transmitter and decodes it in the receiver, while transmitting the encoded information via an analog FM wireless link. This unique algorithm, achievable only in the digital domain, ensures an exceptional audio experience, free from the artifacts of an analog compandor.
Enjoy the benefits of conventional FM wireless systems, such as excellent range, efficient use of RF spectrum, and resistance to interference, with the added advantage of 256 UHF frequencies in 100kHz steps. This feature offers unparalleled flexibility in coordinating frequencies in multi-channel wireless systems and avoiding interference from external RF signal sources and noise.
The IFBT4 transmitter is user-friendly, with microprocessor control that eliminates transients at turn-on and turn-off. The transmitter output is muted in the TUNE mode to prevent interference in other wireless systems while changing frequencies. In the XMIT mode, the output is activated and the frequency is locked.
With a robust output power of 250 mW, the IFBT4 transmitter, when paired with an efficient antenna, provides an exceptional operating range with the R1A belt-pack receiver. Indoors, the signal efficiently penetrates and reflects from various surfaces, extending operating range and reducing the need for critical antenna positioning.
The IFBT4 transmitter features a backlit LCD display for use in dimly lit conditions and high visibility in direct sunlight. DIP switch settings on the rear panel ensure compatibility with RTS and Clear Com intercom systems. The transmitter housing is rugged, machined aluminum with an electrostatic powder coating and an anodized finish, ensuring durability and longevity. The unit is powered by 6 to 18 Volts DC via a locking connector, and the supplied whip antenna is a detachable, locking 1/4 wavelength flexible, galvanized steel cable that connects to a 50 Ohm BNC connector on the rear panel.
