Because capturing the perfect shot requires precise control over light and exposure, the NiSi Filters 100mm ND Long Exposure Kit (NIP-100-EX-KIT) is a must-have for professional photographers. This comprehensive kit features four high-quality, 100x100mm IR Neutral Density Filters, including ND8 (3-Stop), ND64 (6-Stop), ND1000 (10-Stop), and ND32000 (15-Stop). Neutral Density (ND) filters are essential tools in photography, designed to uniformly reduce the amount of light entering the lens. This allows for greater motion blurring and enhanced image detail by enabling a larger aperture and slower shutter speed. ND filters are particularly useful in situations where the contrast between highlights and shadows is too high to achieve a quality exposure. The ND8 3-Stop filter is ideal for capturing the serene beauty of waterfalls and water flow at shutter speeds ranging from 0.5 to 2 seconds. For golden hour photography, the ND64 6-Stop filter can create exposures of 1-2 minutes for smooth water or clouds, and is also excellent for capturing dynamic water while retaining texture. During the day, outside of the golden hour, the ND1000 10-Stop filter comes into play. Its 'light blocking' capabilities can prolong exposures for up to 5 minutes with the right settings. For very long exposures in the middle of the day, the ND32000 15-Stop filter can achieve exposures upward of 5 minutes, even in bright sunshine. The NiSi Filters 100mm ND Long Exposure Kit also comes with a soft filter pouch that can hold four 100x100mm filters (or four circular filters up to 95mm), a cleaning cloth, and four replacement foam gaskets. Each filter is 2mm thick and made from high-quality optical glass with a nano coating to ensure no detail is lost. NiSi ND filters are designed to not affect the coloration of the image, offering true-to-life color. They also feature an infrared protection coating layer to eliminate infrared light that can cast an unwanted red color to photos when shooting at a small aperture. With the NiSi ND filters, you can confidently capture natural, true-to-life colors in all your photographs.
