It's been a little over a month toying with this machine moderately. I have a Klipsh RP series 2 for bookshelves, center, and soon Subs. So far, I am loving this AVR for its capabilities, power, and beauty as well. So far, it tick boxes all of my needs except I wish that my Sony OLED TV would integrate better. Good but could be better than when (duh), I had my older Sony STR-DN1030 receiver.

Purchased this a few days ago to upgrade from my RZ840. Absolutely worth it. Dirac completely changed the game for my room and opened it up to breathe. I would highly recommend this.

The receiver is great! I like the additional output for 11 speakers and the sound is crisp and clean. Adorama shipped when promised and the box came well packaged. Onkyo has been hit or miss, but this receiver is a 5 out of 5.

HUGE Improvement! My Denon x3700 died finally and although it performed admirably for many years, this is superior. I don't think you can do better for anywhere near the price. It is excellent sonically and drives my system well. I highly recommend this reciever.

I bought this to anchor my home theater, and I have not been disappointed. It has a clean and clear sound with no discernable (to my ears) distortion at any volume level that I can tolerate. Plus, it looks great. One caveat, it is heavy so make sure your rack can hold it safely.

Impressive sound balancing via Dirac Live. eArc does not work however with my 2016 LG OLED display (inconvenient but no big deal). Only real downside is that this unit takes FOREVER (> 1 minute) to fully complete HDCP handshaking with any device in my system - primarily a TiVo DVR, an Oppo 4K disc player, and my LG TV.

I am no audiophile by any means, I actually suffer from a little hearing loss. But this receiver is such an improvement over my lower end Sony AV. I kept thinking the problem was my speakers not having much bass. So actually the people at Crutchfield recommended this but they couldn't beat the price and financing that Adorama offered. The clarity and bass is amazing, even with my imperfect hearing I was able to tell a huge difference in sound quality. I can FEEL the bass as well as hearing it, which is the sound I was looking for. Very happy customer!

Still a great receiver with plenty of power for the price. Sounds great whether your playing music or watching a movie. My only con is that there is a bit of a delay when switching inputs.

This thing is a beast of an AVR. I'm using it as the brains of my dream home theater setup and it does not disappoint. It is running my 5.1.4 Atmos setup and an additional in ceiling speakers in another room.

I had a Denon X3200W that unfortunately died from a direct lighting strike (went through a very nice surge/power conditioner), so I was in the market for a new receiver. I quickly learned that the current 500-to-600-dollar receivers were no match in terms of features to my old Denon. I wanted a pre-amp for all channels and at-least 100w per channel (on paper). I did a quick search and realized I would have to spend almost twice what I spent years ago. After a few days of research, the Onkyo RZ50 was at the top of my list. I was able to get it on sale including free shipping. I have a 5.1.2 setup. Once I had everything connected, I ran the quick DIRAC live setup. The difference in detail was noticeable without any tweaks. The overall volume was much higher as well. The app has been stable. The unit itself looks and feels premium. I have since tweaked a few more settings to dial things in a bit more. Overall, I'm very happy with this receiver, especially at the sale price.

Well I've only had it a week. Everything works like it should. It seems like it's the real deal. Not sorry that I didn't get the 70. I still have a lot of "dialing in" left to do. All in all it was a great purchase at half price.
