I've previously been invested in the Z Cam ecosystem, and picked up the E2C to go along with my original E2 and my E2-M4. This camera is mostly intended as a C-cam to sit on a motorized slider as a wide for multi-cam productions, and as a stellar webcam for meetings and conferences. Being the smallest in the line, camera body gives up some of the key functions of its older siblings, like multi-camera sync, variable frame rate for slow motion, balanced (lemo 5-pin) audio input, external time code input, and internal ProRes recording. It also gives up a little bit of dynamic range. But knowing all this, it does impress even within its limitations. My biggest issue with the E2C is the level of rolling shutter artifact. It's there, it's obvious, and there's no way around it. This isn't an issue if it's on a tripod or a slider, but handheld use must be VERY controlled. Avoid shaky moves and whip pans. I knew this going into the purchase, but for my purposes it is the perfect fit.

Bought this canera to use for live broadcasting and fell in love for many other features. This little camera is extremely powerful allowing you to record prores 4k and even zraw and with the newest firmware even prores raw with ninja v. This camera will absolutely put smile on your face every time you use it. For anyone trying to livestrwam this thing will make your life extremely easy giving you a cinematic image directly to your computer and even over phone and tablet so you can stream from anywhere. Higly recommend!

I been loving this camera so far, I just love the ease of use and the form factor makes it a breeze to rig up. I love the ability to have ProRes and Zraw on a $800 Cine Camera. As you see the camera is on back ordered at multiple camera store which should tell you that the camera is demand. In future firmware updates I would like to possibly see more off speed frames and maybe an anamorphic mode! Nonetheless I love this camera alot!

Already Z cam E2 owner and just bought the Zcam F6 and wanted to add a few other cameras to our live streams, when looking at the specs and where z cam is going these low cost 4k cameras made alot of sense, these have POE and can send a 4k feed via the network cable all I am waiting on now is for black magic to release a hardware NDI switcher and we cooking. I would recommend these for anyone who is looking for high quality cameras at a low cost even after building them up still lower and better quality allowing you to get more cameras at same price as if you buy just 1 or 2 other eng cameras. The HDMI outputs in P so if you are doing broadcast work and want 1080i you need a converter.

You can’t beat the features and quality for the price. This camera really works great for multi-cam and streaming set ups because you can control, power, and stream H.265 from the camera via a single Ethernet cable! You get 10-bit ProRes and 12-bit ZRAW via USB-C to an SSD. I bought five for multi camera music video shoots. It lacks high frame rates and has a lower dynamic range compared to its big brother the E2, but for my uses I don’t miss it. The mobile is great as well and the team is very active on the FB group and constantly rolling out firmware updates.
