Fantastic accessory that enables me to use any of my previously purchased Canon EF lenses, including quite a few L lenses. I can now share these high quality lenses between my Canon full frame DSLR (5DS R) and M6 Mark ii APS-C cameras, with the added benefit of a lengthened field of view when using with the cropped sensor camera. I can now carry both cameras with option swapping same lenses on extremely compact, lightweight & stealthy M6 or 50Mpx pro 5DS R as need dictates.

My 70-300 mm Canon EF lens hunts for focus continuously in the autofocus mode when I use this adapter to attach it to my M5 camera. It stops when I'm in manual focus mode, but that's not an acceptable solution.

A maybe necessity for anyone running a native EF-M body. Does exactly what it says it does. It’s pretty bulky and heavy compared to the native lenses however but that’s to be expected

It easily integrated with the canon m50 and allowed me to use multiple EF lenses that I already had. I would recommend this to anybody wanting to use full frame EF lenses with Canon's EF-S mount. The autofocus features are exactly the same and you'll get great quality with the build.

I was wanting to get another adapter for my EOS M & M50 but a brand new one was too expensive but when I saw this offer I went ahead and bought it. Now I have adapters for both cameras. Appears to be brand new without blemishes on the body and it certainly works well.

I have no qualms about this magical adapter I've been dying to add to my kit. Despite the mixed reviews, I decided to buy it for my dslr lenses and my Canon EOS M6. It came nicely packaged, with the add on to connect with a tripod without having to use the camera base. I was worried that auto focus would not work, or that it would work too well and be a constant bother. However, everything worked perfectly together and I now have more possibilities with shooting because of this amazing canon adapter that's worth every penny.

I ordered this with the M50 at the lower price it should have always been. After receiving the M50, and realizing just how small it is, it became clear my larger lenses would dwarf it. However, I have some smaller lenses, and figured the old version of the Sigma 50mm 1.4 would be manageable and a good portrait lens for slow moving or static subjects (it focuses sloooow). I was disappointed to learn it is not compatible. I had to bite the bullet and buy the Canon 50mm 1.8 STM, which is a great fit even with the adapter. Not happy to have two lenses of the same focal length, especially because the Sigma works fine on my 5D III, but no other option at this point due to the limited lens lineup for the “M” series. I would recommend only getting this adapter if you have actual Canon glass, or very recent third party lenses.

If you're switching from DSLR to Mirrorless, this is a must have item to use your EF & EF-S lenses with full functionality.

I thought of buying 3rd party adapters to use my ef and ef-s lenses with my m50, but after watching reviews and seeing the mount adapters rattle on them, i decided to buy the more expensive canon one. There is no rattle, its rock solid and the tripod mount is easily removeable. I found my lenses work perfectly on my m50, same clarity and focus (probably faster focus than my previous camera. One thing to note, if weight is a big deal to you, the combination of metal mount adapter and ef or ef-s lens will add noticeable weight to your mirrorless camera. Only you can decide if that's an issue. For me and my bad back, I'll be using it sparingly as weight was a big factor in my camera upgrade and the ef-m lenses are feather light compared to others. I'll keep hoping for more ef-m lenses from canon or others and use the adapter only when I really need to. It does work brilliantly though and I see no loss in quality at all.
