I bought the A65 in February of this year. I upgraded from my A200. I shoot everything from wildlife to indoor sports under really bad lighting. At this point I don't know how many times my camers has rolled over but it has been at least 4 or 5 times. I dont use a lot of the auto or presets but live in manual modes. I love being able to change the perspective for moto cross, shoot a panorama without spending large amounts of time post processing. 10fps with the right card and an 8sec ride is covered. Eventhough the viewfinder is electronic I shoot with both eyes open so the lag in the digital display doesnt bother me. The manufacture says battery life is just under 500 frames. I can shoot about 2500 frames on a battery or an equivelent of about 3.5 hours with gps on and back display turned off. Drawbacks are the sd cards for me and that the high iso noise reduction is disabled in RAW. There are several other features that you loose in RAW and in full manual, however I have found work arounds for what I need. For the price you really can't complain it is comparable to a few camera bodies that retail for almost twice the price.

This is maybe the worst camera I have bought. I do mostly wildlife and scenery photos and flying in the air the purple around the subject of the photo is horrible along with trying to take photos of something in the snow. Low light isn't a good one either very poor quality and if you use auto modes. I have found the digital noise also to be horrible and distracting from the photo

The Sony A65 is fueling my creativity over the four months of use. I use a Sony A55 with SAL 18-250 lens at work and A65 with SAL 18-200 lens as my personal camera. I like both, but I am enjoying the A65 even more as I regain my passion for photography. My interests run the gammit (documenting fun moments with grandkids / exploring the world through a macro lense / Oddities of mother nature and architecture). I have not been disappointed as I practiced with all the features they packed into the A65.

Picture-taking tools for serious photographers who have outgrown their starter DSLRs...or want a capable back-up for their pro rig.
When shooting indoor sports photography such as basketball, hockey, boxing, water sports and so forth, there are two possible approaches to getting sharp images at the peak of the action.
