I shoot mostly events, and this thing is just perfect for indoors or creative outdoor shots. Unlike with my old 16-35 f/2.8L II which was never great and particularly soft at anything wider than about f/5.6, I have no hesitation opening up this baby all the way. Yeah, I do wish it had the versatility to go to 35, but it's just so dang sharp that I don't mind cropping in post to get there. Be aware that the lens cap is massive (won't fit in tight pockets) and it will slip off if the camera/lens is banging around hanging off a strap.

I'm a full time professional photographer and this is a great wide angle lens. Nice and sharp. It's much lighter then the Tamron 15-30 I was used to on my A99ii. I use this with my A7RV. I use it all the time for my Real Estate photography and fine art landscapes.

I'm selling my Sony 16-35 GM because of this lens. Side by side, the Sigma is sharper at overlapping focal lengths and the same apertures. It's a bit of a brick and can't take front filters, but that's a cost I'm willing to pay for the increased sharpness and field of view at the wide end. I got the kit with the rear mount Haida filters and have only fiddled with them (various NDs), and they fit and go in and out easily (a nice design feature of the lens). This lens works great for night sky photography, with minimal distortion of points of light. Fit and finish are great, easily on par with the Sony. This lens slots in nicely between the Sony 12-24 and 16-35, and given its quality should be seriously considered. Highly recommended.

Up until I got this, every lens I had was a Sony: 20 1.8 G; 90 macro; 16-35 GM; 200-600 G; 600mm f4 GM. This lens is sharper than the 16-35 GM and has a more useful range for me. For about the price of the 16-35gm, you can have both the Sigma 14-24 Art and 24-70 Art and get sharpness comparable or better than Sony and a wider range. Fit and finish of the Sigma lens is great - super solid feel, smooth focus and zoom rings, cosmetically classy, and complete compatibility with the A7RV and A7IV. Definitely worth serious consideration.

I shoot with a Nikon D850 up to this point I have always used Nikon Prime Glass. I'm going on a trip and wanted a wider astro lens. I also didn't want to spend too much this time in case I switch to all Mirrorless. After reading all of the reviews I picked the Sigma 14-24m f2.8 Art lens. It is an amazing lens! SUPER SHARP!! My only complaint is that you have to get a special filter for it if you want to add any filters and it is not cheap! However, even after my filter this lens was worth it. I have included a edited photo, I did not touch the sharpness.

Wow this lens is SHARP!! I bought to use on my Panasonic LUMIX S1 to eliminate the need for an adapter to use my Canon 16-35mm. Unfortunately I can?t use a Polarizer with this and the ND filters are a little odd as you have to put them in the back of the lens vs. a circular one I use on my Canon. But the lens is super sharp and focuses VERY fast.

Due to my job as a concert photographer I was getting gigs in very small venues and sometimes my Nikkor 24-70 (my go-to lens ) wasn't wide angle enough to get the perfect wide shot that I was looking for. So, immediately I ordered the 14-24 2.8 ART Sigma lens (I already have a 70-200 2.8) knowing that SIGMA lenses are always up to the action. It's a no brainer and tbh right now I'm in love with my newest addition. Pristine, fabulous images that certainly will enhance my portfolio and will make quite happy to the artists on them.... Again, a no-brainer purchase.

Super lens for architectural interiors and landscapes - sharp from edge-to-edge when stopped down to F:8 or above. Very robust construction and smooth in focussing and zooming. And with a maximum aperture of f:2.8, it?s fast enough for imaging the galaxy at night.

Excellent sharpness, high quality build, with smooth zoom operation. No discernible distortion from edge-to-edge when shooting landscapes. Nice to have the ND filter set for the rear of this lens included. They snap right in and lock as they should, and provide the ability to shoot longer exposures for soft waterfalls outdoors at low ISOs - just what I?ve needed for some time.

I recently upgraded from a crop sensor camera to a full frame. I had been using the Sigma 10-20mm f/3.5 EX DC HSM on my crop and needed a new wide angle lens for the full frame. The Sigma 14-24 f/2.8 has been an amazing lens to shoot with that has given me some spectacular results. Likewise the FotoPro X-GO Max Tripod has probably been the best tripod I've ever owned. I've never owned any high end tripods so I don't have much to compare it to.

Excellent wide angle zoom lens. Yes it is relatively heavy, but I absolutely love the images I've been able to capture with this lens. Very sharp, low distortion, and excellent color. I was a bit concerned about the fish-eye front element preventing use of a front filter. In practical use this has not presented any issue. I do find I'm a bit more careful with the lens, and have had a couple of occasions where a polarizing filter would have been nice, but I'm willing to make those trades for the flexibility this zoom provides.

Quality of the sharpness is ridiculous, fantastic lens. Just be careful mounting the rear ND filters I damaged one of the screws. Now I can?t take it out. The wrench that can with Haida ND system completed destroyed the screw!!!!!

Very good lenses, I will skip the sharpness/warping talk as this is extensively documented else where. I will say tho that as far as personal feel of the lenses it has a nice one hand balance to it. The down side of this Lense in my opinion is not being able to put Standard sized lense filters on the front.

Great ability to capture wide angles ... I use it for Real Estate photography and video...love the ability to switch between auto and manual focus... feels very sturdy and well built... a little heavy, but I?m ok with it for the overall quality.

Fantastic Super Wide Zoom for Sony E Mount!

Was using the Sony 16-35mm f/4 for the longest before I switched to the Sigma. Was really impressed by the sharpness of the 50mm and 85mm Art lenses I bought so I figured it wouldn't be much of a risk. While I love the Sony Zeiss, I wanted the lens to cover more real estate. A part of what I shoot are automotive events and wide angle lenses go a long way in delivering the "you are there" experience. The Sony Zeiss was 1/2 a footstep too close at times and I had to figure out how to step back ...
