This is a great lens! Just started using it for events and I'm very happy so far. A little heavier than the stock 24-70 mm but makes up with wider aperture settings. Looking forward to trying it out with portraiture and landscape work.

This is a "beast" of a lens. The build quality it top notch and the quality of the photos are even better. While it is a bit heavy, it is certainly worth the extra carrying weight for the resulting photos. The zoom is smooth and the autofocus is quick and the images are sharp. It is one of those cases where you get what you pay for. Recommended.

A great lens - will be a workhorse. I am so happy that I save up and sold some equipment to obtain this lens. It is all that I could ask for. The build quality is top notch. It is a beast. While it is a bit heavy, it balances perfectly with the Z8. I am just getting started using the lens, but I envision that it will be on my camera most of time execpt when I need a longer lens, but then I'll put it on my second camera. It certainly makes a difference getting a professional lens with the build quality and image quality. If you can afford it, I recommend it.

Replaces primes from 24-70 without a loss of quality. If your uses are general photography and portraits and you only buy one lens, this would be a great choice. If it's too heavy and big, try the 24-70mm f/4.

Chose this lens and it's the first for my new Z9. Actually purchased it as a nearly new and saved a few hundred dollars. As for the quality ... it's a rock star lens and has not disappointed me at all having a super sharp performance.

Great lens but Nikon needs to make a 2x converter to work with this lens it would allow Nikon users to buy a longer zoom and skip the medium length. Of course they are trying to sell lenses I guess. LOL

This lens is now the gold standard of zoom lenses within this range. Yes, it's larger than the kit 24-70, but the payoff is huge unless you are counting ounces for a backpacking trip. For that "epic capture", no need to look at anything else. Too bad Nikon stopped using the gold rings at the rim, because that's the only thing this lacks.

Nikon user for over 45 years. I decided to plunge into a zoom lens, and glad I did. I've had it 4 months now, taken about 800 pictures. Hard to describe the sharpness and detail this lens provides. It's fast, quiet, and super sharp into the corners. I've taken it on a couple short trips, and really pleased with results.

Great lens! Just what I needed to add to my wedding arsenal. Slowly moving to all z lenses. The versatility of the 70-200 is perfect! I've also used it with great success in sports photos. Much nicer than leaving a prime lens on.

I was very disappointed to learn that my factory refurbished lens was broken. I didn?t realize it until we?ll after the 14 day return window, so now I have to pay to fix a lens that I received broken. My advice to everyone: don?t buy refurbished lenses, and always scrutinize you internal lens as much as possible immediately after receiving a lens. I learned the hard way.
