The mic is outstanding! The support arm is actually pretty good, though time will tell if it lasts. The shock mount is a total fail. It doesn't support the mic in the center like it shows on the product page. The bottom metal bars clack together from the slightest vibration - totally defeats the purpose of the shock mount. Since it was free, I'll pad mine with foam and gaff tape.

As an audiobook narrator, sound quality is most important. As a business person, quality for the price is paramount. After an extensive search, I found Adorama offered a complete package that included an Electro-Voice RE20 Mic, matching boom and shock mount, which ensured everything fit perfectly. The Mic also came with a nice case. I had reason to talk with their Customer Service and found them to be prompt and most helpful. Given the need - I will use Adorama, again!
