I got this Hero 4 Black for use with SOLO drone. Easy interface to drone and gives very good shots. Combination is very easy to setup and use. I highly recommend for that application.

I love how GoPro continues to promote their cameras being used in theses beautiful and remote places. GoPro updated their remote app for controlling the camera with a new app called Capture. GoPro requires a login that they claim only needs entered every 30 days, but if the app updates in the background or you logout, you can't use the App. Forget to login before your trip, you won't be able to use the App. There is no bypass when there is no internet. I specifically bought my GoPro to use my smart phone as a controller, worked until the new app update. GoPro of all companies should realize their customer base plans to "capture" outside the limits of cellular. I bought the GoPro 4 Hero Black specifically for the remote capabilities of using a smart phone almost a year ago and now this functionality is near obsolete. GoPro hasn't responded to support requests for over a week, their support community forums are moderated with scripted generic responses. As a consumer, I have had several GoPro cameras and accessories, but until I can use my camera and the remote capabilities of the smartphone App, I will not buy another product from GoPro. Check the App Store, Facebook comments, user forums, and product reviews. GoPro has alienated their customer base with the new App.

Needed a GoPro to add to my camera arisinal, and wanted to get a start on the piles of accessories that are offered. This kit has nearly everything you would need and for the price is a great deal! The bag is a good quality one, with features I would expect to pay more for. Highly recommended!!!

I purchased the GoPro HERO4 Black to meet my needs for an underwater video camera. Previously I used a Panasonic Lumix, which I was very pleased with, but now I want and need better image quality stacked on a hands-free (almost) camera for filming black tip reef sharks in French Polynesia. Although I have only played with my new GoPro for one week; the operations and modes are very easily accessed, and I know as I play with it more, it will become a go to favorite. I currently use Nikon full frame cameras.

I can not say that it doesn't produce great picture quality. It does but, they constantly overheat. Go Pro knows this is a problem and will not replace them when they do. I have gone through the process. If you're going to run this camera for more than 10 minutes in the highest settings to get the picture quality you need then forget it. The internal batteries overheat and it'll shut down. The camera becomes to hot to touch. It's so so frustrating because the company has so much buzz about how this is such a good product. I've had the Hero 3 and now have two of the Hero 4 Black edition cameras. The Hero 3 never overheated and constantly shut down like these ones. If I could do it over again I'd go for another brand. It's just my advice after having three of them. Perhaps the next ones they make will be better.

The camera takes great video, straight forward and easy to use. Wish it recorded video as one file instead of splitting into multiple files but otherwise works as expected.

I've beaten my head over this for almost a year. I'm on my third card and it still freezes up. see their side for the correct cards to buy. wish they would have told me this instead of packaging a bad card that failed. http://gopro.com/help/articles/Block/microSD-Card-Considerations

The GoPro Hero4 Black is great during the day or mid to bright light shots where the camera can be set up, not moved and audio is not needed. The audio capture is very quiet unless you are on top of the camera. Using the waterproof case no audio can be captured. No blue tooth which the competitor has built in for $300. The lack of viewing screen makes it difficult to adjust the photo you want unless you connect a compatible device such as a phone. It uses wireless to connect to the device and loses connectivity frequently. The darker the lighting the grainier the shot becomes. It also has a very apparent fish eye affect. There are so many accessories to make it work for anything other than capturing action footage in good lighting it's turns out to be the same price as getting a semi pro camera and safety case.

I use this GoPro 4 Black on a 3DR Solo UAV. I love the 60fps at 2.7k for silky smooth slow motion effects. This camera integrates into Solo's gimbal for better control than my previous GoPro 3 Black. The battery life, menus, video quality are all better with this version. I don't like the higher price, especially with rumors of a new model coming. But I needed one now I did not want to wait 6 months+

Arrived fast Adorama is the best. GoPro Hero4 Black records and takes pictures in excellent quality. Battery seems to be weak but can be resolved with a few spare wasabi batteries.

I just used it for the first time out in the boat this weekend...still needing to explore with it. I am a professional photographer, so I can not get a grip on how a camera could be build without a viewfinder...so I had to purchase the add on accessory for this...which to me makes no sense... Still need to do more with this before I can give 5 stars. But love the compact size and waterproof ability...price is very high. However I do like the capability to use the app and upload images from the camera to fb, instagram etc immediately by bluetooth connection.

Very happy with the overall build quality. It's 4K!!! 4K video at 30fps and 1080p at up to 120fps. No screen to preview. It's very wide angle. You get more things in the view than usual lens. Fast and effective Wi-Fi connection, Sturdy mounting system stream and preview trough WiFi to my smartphone. It took a while tho for the first time to get it setup for WiFi. Easy and intuitive to control the camera trough smartphone. The battery life it's not so great so I recommend to buy an extra battery with charger as (Wasabi Power Battery (2-Pack) and Dual Charger), as I did. Finally, the battery compartment is no longer accessed through the back of the camera. It's now located in the base, and the battery type also changes from 3.7v 1180mAh to 3.8v 1160mAh. More importantly, it's much easier to swap out in the field than before. As with previous models there's a connection on the back for a screen. On the side under a protective flap are two connectors that enable direct connection to HDMI and USB along with a Micro SD card slot. camera does heat allot when working. Be very careful.

This is by far the best bundle for the best price. I did a lot of research before choosing this bundle. Needed a camera for a outdoor adventure vacation and this came with everything I needed. This is one of the coolest cameras I own... it's got its own nitch, but definitely fun to play with and everything is so small... Probably the only problem I see is that the battery life has a bit to be desired, and wish it came with a bacpac so you can see what you are filming, but for the money it's definitely worth buying. Use it to film things outdoors mainly. Be prepared to buy a bunch of add ons for it (bacpac lens covers, extra batteries, case, etc.)...
