expensive but good

While I think it could/should cost a bit less than it does, it really does do a great job of bouncing the light forward. To do what I'm trying to do, it's a must and I'd buy it again. There's no comparison between the soft bounce and the bounce that already comes with the A1. I'm not really sure I'll ever use the one that came with the A1, but I won't go out without having the soft bounce in my bag.

Magnetic attachment: a great quick field option

I think the price is too steep but it is a useful and effective bounce light asset. The magnet system makes it super easy to attach or remove.

Soft bounce or not - YES absolutely

Like the A1, the soft bounce is well thought out, magnetic mount, and collapses to store in a slim zipper pouch that takes very little space in an accessory bag. It's just great having Soft light from a speedlight.

There are times where you might not have a wall close by to bounce from, or the wall may be brightly colored, which could affect the color of the light hitting the subject. The Soft Bounce for the A1 on-camera flash is perfect for people and portraits as the light is soft and flattering. It also provides pleasing contours on the face. In short, no more ugly mugshots.

The Soft Bounce is incredibly lightweight, so no hardship on those long days, and it unfolds automatically. It easily clicks on and off thanks to a smart magnetic mount and it's stackable, so it can be used in combination with other A1 Light Shaping Tools. All of which allow you to be more creative with light.
