This head is a little fiddly to use and I would not put it on a tripod. You have to tighten it quite firmly to stop it flopping over with a heavy setup mounted on it. I do like the quick release plate though. It seems a lot easier to set in place than my Manfrotto tripod head.

Bought this head to hold a my mechanical star tracker since I didn't really need the pan function. Works great, solid build although it would be handy to have some kind of reference markings on the edges.

Very solid product. Hold camera horizontally & vertically & tilted very well. The only drawback that it cannot be panned 360 degree.

The tilt head release allows me to quickly connect/disconnect the camera for the required position needed for a specific shot.

Only problem being you can only tilt left & right and not up & down. Good size, not to large, but adequate for normal lens.

Needed a mono pod for a DSLR video shoot - this head came as part of the kit - having another major brand head on hand to swap if this wasn't on par with what I was used to using was a bonus - no need however, this did the trick a would recommend to a friend.

Came with the carbon fiber monopod and carrying case (package deal) delighted with the quality (big bargain) getting harder to handhold due to arthritis this makes a big difference when shooting a heavy 400 prime for birds in flight

tried the product out on a car show and it worked out great. as i changed the height of the monopod, the centerline of my viewfinder would change and not align to the shot i wanted. with a simple *tilt*, i would get a great angle/shot (top view) of the car. i was hoping it would *tilt* to take portrait pictures but it does not, that was something i wasn't looking for so it wasn't a big deal.

The 3pod T1 tilt head is exactly as advertised. Easily locks in place and handles my Nikkor 200-500.

I occasionally use a monopod. I find that a ball head provides too little stability since it allows the camera/lens to move in multiple directions. This product keeps the camera/lens from moving too much. It allows only vertical motion, while I can control horizontal motion by twisting the monopod.

Bought this for a monopod. I have a Arca Swiss adapter I put on it so I can easily change from side to side to fore and aft. The quick connect base plate on 3-Pod heads are one way on and off. No 180 or 90 degree re positions here. Bad design if you ask me. But I put a Arca Swiss adapter on everything now. If I could only afford Arca Swiss product. ;) Unlike the previous 3-Pod three way head I purchased, this one locks down well. It is not super fluid smooth when tightened and not locked, but id didn't cost $400 either. It's a good back up and not a bad main monopod head.

The 3POD Tilt Head With Quick Release allows you to mount a camerato a tripod or monopod using our industry standard quick release system. It allows you to adjust the camera 180 degrees on a single axis. Typically, the Tilt Head is used when photographing with a monopod to orient for vertical shots, or for video tilt to pan upwards or downwards. The tilt can be adjusted and locked into position using the confortable ergonomic knob.
