I just found a really cool new use for my RFS+. Place some sticky double sided tape on the outer surface of the upper ring, then place the sticky side of the ring on top of a sheet of Baader Solar Filter Film that is slightly larger than the diameter of the ring and cut off the excess film. Voila! You have a really easy "quick deploy" solar filter for your lens for shooting eclipses, etc. Much better (and safer) than stacking ND filters.

Exactly as in the description and well made. If you really want to have your filter flipping around, then this is great. It's particularly useful for an ND filter when you are in changing light, such as indoor/outdoor shoots. It functions just how you imagine it will.

I live in an extremely sunny climate and like the idea of simply raising the lens if it is not needed for the shot as opposed to taking it off and losing it. It works well with a circular polarizer or other type of filter that may be needed outside, but not required inside. It is sturdy and well made. It comes with all the tools needed for adjusting, albeit I have not had to use them. The packaging itself is attractive. The first one tends to take a few minutes to add to the lens, but afterwards it is extremely simple. I have ordered several more of these lens mounts and strongly recommend it.

I had a hard time figuring out how to get it on my lens, but once it was on, it worked well to flip my ND filter up to focus and down to use, which saves time and hassle. It seems like a good quality product and I?m happy with it.

Excellent product when I use a IR filter. I can easILY flip the IR out of the way to focus then flip is down to shoot. No light leaking

Great quality. Mades using a circular polarizer much easier to adjust by using the hinge and opposite magnetic closure to rotate the polarizer.

I was pleasantly surprised at how well this filter holder was built. It arrived in a fancy, round box. Inside, the box contained the filter holder, tools for adjusting, and a rubberized pad for gripping the holder to loosen or tighten once it is on the lens. The price was fantastic too! ($12.95 on a one-day sale)

I am seriously in love with the Alter RFS! I do a lot of run and gun work and it is so nice to be able to quickly put my ND filter up and out of the way. I use a Ronin S and it doesn't effect the balance of the rig at all. Definitely recommend.
