Good desktop...overall perfect for normal use. If you could, spend a little more to get the solid state or fusion drive.

I would definitely recommend this product to others. I liked that it linked up my iPad and iPhone right away without really prompting it. All the information transferred to my Mac including contacts, usernames and passwords for all my cites. I also love the size of the monitor and the quality of the pictures. The only thing I disliked is that in Apps it didn’t have an app for Facebook and some of my other applications that I use.

Never used a mac previously, 30 years on PCs. Very pleased and impressed with all features. Took some getting used to, but after a few days I really like using the Mac much better. Its very user friendly and I love its compatability with my iphone.

Still getting used to the differences on the iMac keyboard versus a PC's. Every day I learn something new. Amazed at just how fast it is compared to my old Dell.

We purchased this for my wife's photography business as an editing workstation. We were worried about this not having enough power to handle her heavy usage compared to a mac pro tower. This imac does not dissapoint. I upgraded to an SSD drive and added 16GB of ram to included 4GB and the machine runs quite a bit faster. Out of the box though, we were tentative about performing the upgrades just because we didn't know if we needed them. The machine was so speedy to boot, load programs and do all of her editing tasks that we may not have even upgraded it if we hadn't already ordered the parts. That being said, I am glad we did perform the upgrades, the machine is even more capable of working for her now. The overall product has the excellent user experience of a mac, you start it up and just works, no issues, everything runs fast and without a hickup. The display is absolutely massive, and the workspace provided by the amount of resolution is perfect for her. Honestly, there is so much room on the screen that you can loose the mouse from time to time. With this, you are basically buying a really nice mac workstation, and they throw in the best consumer monitor money can buy for free. I know that a mac pro can be upgraded with more storage and processors, but for most moderate duty photographers who aren't doing video, this is pretty much the sweet spot.

I understand that Apple wants to save $, but not to provide OS installation discs is not cool at all. From my experience, all computers will crash sometime for various reasons, and the best and cleanest way to take care of it is to re-formate and reinstall the OS and apps.

if you need a great, fast computer, this is not the ONLY ONE. You can also have a PC for a cheaper price. If you really need a great IPS Panel (great display), big, bright, good colors for photo and video editing you might wanna buy an apple. It may be cheaper overall than buying a good pc and a great display same size like this one (27") with the same quality. The display is not perfect (light stronger on the bottom or edges but the colors are great. Also all in one using for beginning one wire - the power cord.

The iMac is a great entry-level machine for both photo editing and regular computer use. It handles RAW files in Aperture and Photoshop with ease, and the screen looks great. Calibration is a must with any monitor, but the iMac screen looks pretty nice out of the box.

The all-in-one for all.
If you can dream it, you can do it on iMac. It's beautifully designed, incredibly intuitive, and packed with powerful tools that let you take any idea to the next level. And the new 27-inch model elevates the experience in every way, with faster processors and graphics, expanded memory and storage, enhanced audio and video capabilities, and an even more stunning Retina 5K display. It's the desktop that does it all - better and faster than ever.
Draws you in. Blows you away.
Everything looks better on a Retina display, with its one billion colors and 500 nits of brightness. Photos and graphics leap off the screen. Text is supersharp. And for the first time, the 27-inch iMac features True Tone technology for a more natural viewing experience.
Graphics. Next-level. At any level.
The graphics on iMac make everything a sight to behold. The 27-inch model brings AMD Radeon Pro 5700 series graphics with 8GB of GDDR6 memory for graphics-intensive workflows like editing UHD video or developing lifelike game environments.
Mics, camera, action.
From crystal clear video calls and voice recordings to music and movies that fill the room, iMac is an all-star for communications and content. The 27-inch iMac now features a 1080p FaceTime HD camera and a studio-quality three-mic array. And the T2 chip acts in concert with the speakers to enable variable EQ and an enhanced bass response, so all your content can have big, balanced high-fidelity sound.
Your own private security detail.
The Apple T2 Security Chip comes to the 27-inch iMac, with a Secure Enclave coprocessor that provides the foundation for secure boot and encrypted storage capabilities. The T2 chip also enables powerful features like the 1080p FaceTime HD camera, face detection, enhanced speaker bass response, and "Hey Siri" - and makes transcoding HEVC video up to twice as fast as the previous generation.
Packed with ports. And possibilities.
Every iMac features two superfast Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) ports and four USB-A ports, giving you plenty of high-performance options for connecting external drives, cameras, displays, and more. Ultrafast Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are standard on every iMac, and the 27-inch model features Bluetooth 5.0, so you're instantly connected to your favorite content and wireless devices.
macOS. It's why there's nothing else like a Mac.
macOS is the operating system that powers every Mac. It lets you do things you simply can't with other computers. That's because it's designed specifically for the hardware it runs on - and vice versa. macOS comes with an entire suite of beautifully designed apps. It works hand in hand with iCloud to keep photos, documents, and other stuff up to date on all your devices. It makes your Mac work like magic with your iPhone. And it's been built from the ground up with privacy and security in mind.
All your devices. One seamless experience.
Your Mac works with your other Apple devices in ways no other computer can. If you get a call on your iPhone, you can take it on your Mac. And when friends text you - regardless of the phone they have - you can respond from your Mac, iPad, or iPhone, whichever is closest. When you copy text or an image from one device, you can paste it into another with standard copy and paste commands. And with Sidecar, you can extend your workspace by using your iPad as a second Mac display. You can even unlock your Mac with your Apple Watch. No password typing required.
