About Aputure Light Storm 1200d Pro 1200W Daylight LED Light
Aputure Light Storm 1200d Pro.
The flagship LED light from Aputure, the Light Storm 1200D Pro, boasts an impressive 1200W COB. This Bowens mount light fixture has the highest output on the market and sports a 5600K daylight balance. Three reflectors are included for wide, medium, and narrow beams — along with a carrying case. Two 48v/15A DC inputs allow for full- or half-battery operation, providing up to 83,100 lux of light at three meters with the narrow reflector.
CRI & TLCI Lighting Effects.
With a daylight balance of 5600K, a CRI of 96, and a TCLI of 98, the light output from the Light Storm 1200D Pro is fairly impressive. Three Hyper Reflector attachments are included for narrow (15°), medium (30°), and wide (55°) beams. You can dim the Light Storm 1200D Pro from 0-100% in 0.1% increments with minimal color shift. It has eight lighting effects: paparazzi, fireworks, lightning, faulty build, TV, pulse, flash, and explosion. These options are manageable from the control box or the Sidus Link app.
Weather Resistant Design.
In addition to being dust resistant, the Light Storm 1200d Pro is also water resistant. Waterproof fans, sealed internal structures, and rubber caps on all ports. The weatherproof 7.5m head cable allows the fixture to withstand challenging environmental conditions that can plague almost any set.
Redesigned Control & An Advanced UI.
A redesigned UI and LCD screen displays detailed information in an intuitive manner, as well as easy-to-read intensity and color metrics. There are DMX512 in and out ports, an etherCON connector, two 48V/15A 3-pin XLR, and an AC input. All are located on the side of the redesigned control box in a configuration that maximizes flexibility while minimizing damage. Two lightning clamps are also included for different light stand configurations.
Powering Options.
The LS 1200D Pro is a high-powered fixture that can compete on the same level as HMIs. Meanwhile, it can still operated using household outlets, or small generators, thanks to its maximum power draw of 1440W. Due to the control box's dual 48v/15A (720W) DC inputs, it can run at half the power and be powered by suitable battery stations and block batteries.
