The Ninja V+ is the next stage in the evolution of the multi-award winning Atomos Ninja, delivering up to 8Kp30 and 4Kp120 continuous recording in Apple ProRes RAW while inheriting HDR, 4Kp60 RAW and video as well as HDp120 slow motion from it's little brother, Ninja V.

With the ability to capture in 8Kp30 and 4Kp120, the Ninja V+ allows you to stay ahead of the game and manage your projects whilst ensuring that you have the flexibility to grow your system. Future-proofed quality and formats allow you to stay compatible with newly released and existing cameras, in a world where new cameras are released frequently and technology is advancing at an incredible pace.

The Ninja V+ takes advantage of the new Atomos Silicon chip, the AtomIC3, AtomOS 10 and the incredible efficiency of ProRes RAW to deliver these increased resolutions and frame rates. The new formats also integrate seamlessly into the timeline of your existing ProRes RAW or ProRes projects, without huge storage or processing overheads.

Open standard formats from every camera
Apple ProRes is the world's Pro Video standard for Video and RAW capture, and the number of cameras which support RAW recording over HDMI on the Ninja V+ continues to grow. ProRes RAW combines the visual and workflow benefits of RAW video with the incredible real-time performance of ProRes, giving filmmakers enormous latitude when adjusting the look of their images, making it an ideal solution for HDR workflows.

The Ninja V+ also captures up to 4Kp60 in 10-bit 4:2:2 from almost every camera manufacturer, like Panasonic, Nikon, Olympus, Leica, Fujifilm, Z Cam, RED and ARRI. It also builds upon the great workflow and versatility of Ninja V, that unites the world's leading camera manufacturers and the industry standard editing software for our customers.

The Ninja Solution
Smaller cameras are incredibly capable these days, but they can still be limited in terms of battery life when recording RAW and high frame rates, use expensive internal media and can have recording limits. The Ninja V+ provides a solution to these issues with longer recording times, professional power solutions and affordable SSD media options.

In addition, you get a stunningly bright 5.2" monitor with an astounding 1000nits - 10.5 stops of HDR, plus a huge range of features that can enhance your workflow, from AtomOS Monitor Assist features like Focus Peaking, Zoom, Vectorscopes & False Color through to Safe Areas and Cine Guides. Our AtomHDR engine also processes the incoming Log/RAW/HDR signals from your camera or device and displays the HDR screen of the Ninja V+.

H.265 High Quality. Small Size.

Included in the codec arsenal is the ability to record video inputs using the 10-bit H.265 (HEVC) codec, for compressed recordings that combine excellent image quality with a small file size. This is a very powerful combination for the world we now live in, where streaming and sharing online has dramatically increased, as the small file size will make the uploading process very fast.

When there is no time or budget for color grading, you can 'bake in' Rec. 709 or a custom LUT into the H.265 files so that they already have contrast and saturation applied and share or deliver your files immediately after a shoot. H.265 is also an excellent option for recording high quality proxy files in an ARRI or RED SDI workflow using the AtomX SDI module or the Pro Kit. The proxy files will have the same filename as the RAW files being recorded internally on the camera, to facilitate the proxy workflow in post-production.

ProRes RAW
The number of cameras which support RAW recording over HDMI on the Ninja V+ continues to grow. ProRes RAW combines the visual and workflow benefits of RAW video with the incredible real-time performance of ProRes. This format gives filmmakers enormous latitude when adjusting the look of their images, making it ideal for HDR workflows.

AtomX Modules

Upgrade. Connect. Expand.
AtomX Expansion modules attach to the Expansion Slot on your Ninja V+ and provide additional connections and functionality. The extra horsepower from the Atomos Silicon AtomIC3 chip also allows you to add other 'plus' features when combined with upcoming AtomX modules and future Atomos products.

AtomX SDI

Upgrade your Connection options
The AtomX SDI Expansion Module locks into place via the modular expansion slot and adds the quality and convenience of SDI connectivity to your Ninja V+, which allows you to monitor and record SDI video up to 4Kp60 from a range of professional cameras and video sources. Adding SDI connections to your Ninja more than doubles it's I/O functionality as both HDMI and SDI connections can be cross converted, and you have options for DCI crop and 4K to HD down conversion to provide a bridge between equipment such as EVFs and wireless TX/RX without the need for additional converters.

HDMI / SDI: Cross Conversion
When an AtomX SDI Expansion module is attached to your Ninja V+, you can cross convert HDMI and SDI signals, which means that you can convert from HDMI to SDI and from SDI to HDMI. You can also cross convert HDMI RAW signals to SDI, once your Ninja V+ has been activated for RAW over SDI at my.atomos.com. Where an SDI Video signal is connected to your AtomX SDI Expansion module, you can output an HDMI signal over the HDMI Out on your Ninja V+.

RAW over SDI: RAW versatility
Ninja V+ owners can also benefit from the ability to record RAW over SDI with compatible cameras using the AtomX SDI Module and additional $99 SDI RAW upgrade. The Activation Key for SDI RAW and HDMI RAW to SDI Video can be added at any time and is available to purchase via your my.atomos.com account.

AtomX SYNC

Making multi-camera mainstream
You no longer need a huge budget or a highly skilled editor to produce perfectly synchronized, multicamera video. The AtomX SYNC module brings wireless timecode, sync and control technology to the Ninja V+, and you can connect multiple AtomX SYNC enabled Ninja V+ units to create a Timecode Systems powered multi-camera sync network. Remotely trigger frame accurate record start/stop recording, monitor, battery and disk capacity information from the SYNC server configured Ninja V+.

The advanced long-range sub Ghz RF system is completely wireless and can be coupled with the Ultra SYNC 1 to connect to traditional BNC inputs on cameras and other devices, and pair up to 6 Ultra SYNC blues to a single ninja to share SYNC with iOS devices and compatible ZOOM sound recorders. With frame-accurate timecode embedded directly into each recording you can accurately edit together multiple video and audio sources effortlessly using automated functions in your editing software.

The SYNC module slides into the battery slot of your Ninja V+ to utilize the high speed AtomX Expansion port, and also provide continuous power to keep your Ninja V running while you change the main battery or DC input.

Wireless Remote Control
The AtomRemote app for iOS and macOS provides external controls for NINJA V, and NINJA V+ with AtomX SYNC module. This app enables filmmakers to perform a range of configuration tasks and operations wirelessly up to 15 meters via Bluetooth LE. Input options include the ability to define how the device connects to the camera, select Gamma/EOTF and adjust Gamut settings.

For monitoring, AtomRemote can be used to control playback, select monitoring modes, apply custom 3D LUTs and analysis tools including exposure and focus. Output controls provide options for 4K to HD and LUT preview and HDR output.

Media

Affordability, accessibility and choice allows users to select recording media to meet their needs. High resolution and high frame rates require sustained media performance, which we have achieved through our ongoing developments with both codecs and data handling. The AtomX SSDmini offers a native fit and will support up to 8K30p and 4K120p.

Using the same form factor as the AtomX SSDmini, the AtomX CF Adapter allows you to use CFast II cards to align with your existing camera media. You can even keep a CFast Type I card in your camera bag as a drive for 3D LUT collections, to upload to the Ninja V+. The Master Caddy II system offers the ability to add your own choice of qualified SSDs to balance capacity and performance needs, with support for drives over 4TB.
