Solid pre-amp. A bit on the heavy side, but the options and hiss-less audio recorded into the camera are awesome. I love that you can record with a safety track, fully adjustable, and can monitor the audio directly. The XLR and mini-jack inputs are great. Plus there’s phantom power if you’re driving a shotgun mic via XLR. Lastly, the built-in rechargeable battery lasts all day (wedding) and the cheese plate allows me to mount my Ninja V conveniently.

Very solid build. Like a small tank! All analog, easy to use. I bought the pro+, because I didn’t want to deal with 9v batteries. It was a bit more expensive but I don’t regret my choice. I have an audio-technica 800 series lavalier mic (phantom powered). It works perfect with the phantom power on the Beachtek Micro Pro+. I couldn’t be more satisfied.
