Good but not the Best

Bought a B1 years ago and like it. Because of that, I bought my second Benro, a B2. I though I would like it because of it's prize, size and it's familiar design. Every part is in right place. I bought it twice, first one I thought it's a defect product so I returned. And second one is the same. Finally I returned it. I don't feel this product is any better than my B1, even with a higher rating. I am mounting it with a Sony a6000 with a 100-400mm lense which is not very heavy load, but it does not feel sturdy. When turning the tightening knob I have to turn it to the very end, with strength. That's what I don't like. After all, it's not a strong product than I expected.

Great safety feature with little to no documentation.

This ball head has a special double lock / unlock feature that requires that you take two actions to unlock the camera from the ball head. That's great because it is less likely that you will accidentally unlock it. Unfortunately, that feature is poorly documented and it took me over an hour to discover how it worked.

If you want to drop your camera buy this head...

Won't even tighten down. I can still sllde my $1700 len's arca Swiss foot plate in and out of it after I've tightened it as much as humanly possible without tools. Can't trust it to do what it needs to do. Buy another brand...

Works incredibly well

Very smooth motion, both from the ball and rotation at the base. I have used it directly with Sigma 150-600 Contemporary, Tamron 70-200 G2, Canon 80D, and Canon 6D with battery grip...this just works really well. Handles the above lens/camera combos as well as other lens mounted tot he camera bodiesl. I would highly recommend this head
