I LOVE this tripod. I pair with the Benro BH00 Ballhead. I was looking for a versatile tripod and this tripod is just what I needed. It's lightweight and sturdy. I love that I can use the center column as an extension arm to photograph flat-lays and that the tripod itself is surprisingly small and lightweight. It even comes with a durable carrying case. I'm very happy that I purchased this tripod.

Just what I needed. Something small and lightweight that's easy to travel with. What really sold me was the articulated center column that also allows it to be used as a macro rail for close focus with macro lenses. Since it doesn't come with a head, I'm free to pair it with a ball head for stills or a small video head to be used as B-Cam video tripod. I only wish they hadn't discontinued the carbon fiber version.

I needed a 2d lightweight travel tripod for a 2d camera for video/timelapses. I already had a Gitzo Carbon Fiber Traveller Series 1545T tripod for $, but didn't want to spend as much again, so took a chance on this Benro. What a great carbon fiber travel tripod merely a few ounces more in weight from the Gitzo, but as solid, with smoother twisting leg locks & 90-degree center column extension feature. I love both tripods, but favor the Benro. If I had to do it over, I'd buy 2 of these Benros for less than the 1 Gitzo!

The tripod works well for me. It stands firm and the ability to move the camera to a horizontal position quickly is exactly what I needed for a fairly inexpensive price.

I just ordered the Benro based on written reviews and youtube reveiw. What I can say the quality and adaptibility for different types of photos is phenomenal. The price is right and rivals many of the more expensice brands in flexibility of use. The only thing I can not add is its rerliability since I just acquired it

I was optimistic that this tripod would be a great addition and useful for macro photography with the 90 degree center column. The legs were great, sturdy and locked down well. The problem arises with the tensioner on the center column, the bolt threads into a blind hole and the threaded insert in that hole popped out the first time I used it, hence there was no was to secure the center column any longer. I hope this was a one off as I have other Benro equipment and am well pleased and is why I purchased this tripod. I returned the tripod and am in search of a similar tripod without this type of adjustment tensioner.

It's a great little tripod and for it's size and weight, it is very study. I had purchased another brand and found it to have lots of play, but, the Benro has a better design with no play and is rock solid.

This is my first expensive tripod purchase although it's more of a entry level high end tripod. The quality is a day and night difference compared to my off brand tripod that I've been using. Right now it's serving it's purpose as a tripod for macro shoots. I can get really close to my subject easier thanks to it's center column. The twist lock mechanism for the leg is much better the flip lock.

Loved the size and the portability. Could hold my 1Dx mark 2. 4 Star because lateral shooting with the crossbar is not reliable. Camera fell a few times trying to get overhead shots (managed not to hit the ground)

This tripod got glowing reviews on Wirecutter, and it's easy to see why. Solid construction, stable, and with a nifty ability to tilt the central column 90 degrees in any direction. I bought it as a compact, packable travel tripod for an upcoming trip. Why only four stars? I bought this to supplement my Neewer carbon fiber tripod bought a few months ago. I figured the Benro would be smaller and more compact. But the Neewer is EXACTLY the same size if a teensy bit more awkward. Maybe the Neewer is a Chinese copy of the Benro, who knows. But it's a couple of pounds lighter, and the Neewer comes with a quite capable ball head. I figured I'd use the Neewer head with the Benro legs, but the weight difference means I'll take the Neewer instead.

If you don't have a lot of money to spend on a tripod yet you would like a good sturdy model, this is it. Not to heavy. I would recommend putting leg covers on then for carrying the tripod. My only thing that I don't really care for is the way you have to adjust the legs.

The FGP18A Go Plus Travel tripod series is the first to offer the compactness of a travel tripod with a versatile center column! The tripod is constructed from aluminum tubing with machined aluminum and magnesium alloy components. The tripod combines reverse folding legs that wrap around the center column providing a more compact unit for transportation.
A unique feature of this tripod is its versatile center column which can be removed from its conventional vertical position and swung through a 180 degree arc and locked into place at any point. Among other shooting orientations, this feature, when combined with the three po sition leg angle settings, makes this tripod perfect for low level macro photogr aphy. Other features include a built in monopod, easy to use twist leg locks, st andard screw-in rubber & stainless spiked feet and a high quality padded tripod carry case.
