It looks crystal clear, and I can't see any degradation in sharpness of the images. There might be a little extra flare in night street shots, but I accept that because I don't want to use the hood. I don't see any vignetting at the wide end of the 24-70 zoom. It holds the lens cap well. I love the big lugs; they make is so easy to unscrew.

The best filter I have ever owned. Highest quality construction with a very shallow metal ring. You should be able to stack two filters without any worry of vignetting. This filter comes with an engraved serial number that is used to register the 25 year warranty on the Breakthrough Photography website. The metal ring has a textured grip. I'll only be using Breakthrough Filters from now on. They have set the mark very high.

I've bought a number of these for various lenses. The quality is consistent and these are the best clear filters I've bought. I find these much more convenient to clean than cleaning the front lens element. Much lighter than B+W brass filters, and the ridges really help in getting them off (all filters bind if left on the lens regularly). I haven't noticed much in the way of extra flares/ghosts, but there definitely is tiny bit more flare shooting into the sun. I may skip this for a fast wide angle I just acquired.

Got this to put on an expensive 85mm lens. I generally use a UV filter for general protection, but it still needs to be optically clear with minimal loss. This is my 3rd Breakthrough filter and all are excellent. It comes well protected in a square filter case that doesn't allow the filter to rattle around when stored. Unlike other filters I've bought in the past, my Breakthrough filters have always been clean and dust free out of the box. The frame is brass with a black finish; raised edging allows a positive grip even with thin gloves on. It threads on and off easily. Each filter has a laser-engraved serial # that, when registered, gets you a 25 year warranty; a good indication that they stand behind their product. I've also purchased other Breakthrough products that are performing well. Well worth it despite the price, especially for lenses that will be used a lot.

I think Breakthrough is my new favorite filter brand. There is nothing wrong with my old standby filters like Hoya and B+W, but these filters have such a great feel of quality and the ribbed edge is also a nice plus.

I did some research to try to find a replacement for my Hoya UV filter that had developed a smudge. The Breakthrough products seemed to be suggested so I popped and bought one. It has a very nice and thin frame and so far it's very clear and the lens cap fits perfectly.
