The Clash 138 Matte Box is expertly crafted to accommodate up to two 4x4" or 4x5.65" PV sized filters within its frame, offering you the flexibility to create the perfect shot. Additionally, it provides the option of mounting a single 138mm circular filter, using the Clash 138mm Rota Ring, alongside the two filters already in the frame. This feature allows you to use any standard 138mm circular filter from popular manufacturers, including polarizers, diopters, split-diopters, and FX filters like diffusion.

The 138mm circular filter, once mounted, can be easily rotated up to 120 degrees using the sliding lever on the Rota Ring. This range of motion is more than sufficient to effectively use a circular polarizer, which only requires 90 degrees of rotation to achieve minimum to maximum effect.

The Clash 138 Matte Box is also designed to support +1 and +2 diopters, allowing you to capture stunning macro shots without the need for a macro lens. The diopters can be securely mounted into the frame, ensuring no risk of them falling out during filming.

This kit also includes a removable rubber sunshade that provides protection from flares and can save an additional 100 grams of weight when removed. This feature is particularly useful when filming with drones, as it helps reduce wind resistance.

The Clash 138 Matte Box is equipped with a native 143mm Clamp-On mounting surface, compatible with our clamp-on ring adapters and rubber donuts. This allows for use with a variety of Cine and Photo lenses, including square front anamorphic and telescoping lenses.
