Just let it be known that the lens shown is the II model with the USM, not the III. This lens is inexpensive and it does the job. The autofocus is very slow but what can you expect, really? It does the job and will AF decently in daylight. I think more people would get use out of, say, the 50mm 1.8 II over this given the faster aperture possibilities.

I was expecting a little more out of a lens that claims to be a wide angle...didn't get what I was looking for
