Have had this lens for just over 12 months and unfortunately the mount lock has already broken. I originally had the M10 and its lens for 5 years with no issues.

The lens is as sharp as the rest of the M series. The issue is with the plastic mounting ring. I have the "old" 18-55 EF-M that has a metal lens mount. This was supposed to be a replacement. because of the greater range. Fortunately, the mount broke on my flight home from Japan. Canon replaced it since it was still in warranty. I still use this 18-150 extensively on my M6, however, my 18-55 is always near by on my M10 or M100 in case the 18-150 fails again. From what I see, this isn't the only lens in the M-series lineup that went to the plastic lens mount. I love the size of the M series since I can carry 3 bodies, with the 11-22, 18-55, 22, 70-300 (off brand, and a Canon 430EXIII-RTSpeedlite in a small gadget bag.

I bought this lens for a companion of M6. It works fine and is my travel prefered set now. 5D Mark IV and other telezoom lens now only for birds and wild photos.

It works well. It is a clear picture. I am an amateur.

This is a nice extended zoom light weight lens with excellent performance! The STM focus is silent and the image stabilization feature is flawless. I use it on a M-100 for light weight travel and portability. This lens does the same work of two other EF-M lenses in one package! It is not built like a "L" or "R" series lens and it does not carry a pro series price tag. So value and optical performance rating is high for this lens! Very easy to use, sleek, no switches or doodads and a nice 55mm piece of glass on the objective! Great addition to a point, frame and shoot mirror less compact SLR system! Canon has a great M series system for the avid photographer that does not break the bank. This must have lens compliments the fleet.

Great value, I rarely need to go beyond 150 mm for travel photography.

Just took a Kennedy Space Center tour. Used it the whole time, despite having other lenses with me. The range of this zoom is very good for a wide variety of situations.

I bought a Canon EOS M50 over the summer in anticipation of my first trip to Europe. This is my first exchangeable lens camera. I tried the kit lens and it was ok but didn't do all I wanted such as close-up details, and for landscape and buildings. I figured I have to bring multiple lenses but I wasn't enthusiastic about carrying around more stuff. I saw this lens but the price was a little more than I wanted to spend. I purchased a lower priced lens but was disappointed as it wasn't what I was looking for. About three weeks before my trip panic set because I felt that I didn't have the right tools for my camera. So I purchased this lens and I am so thankful I did! This lens is perfect for travel! I took it on my two week trip to Europe and took about 1,470 pictures with it. The pictures are gorgeous! The auto focus is very quick. I was able to get beautiful detailed pictures of landscapes, buildings, canals and windmills. It was also very good close-up with people and even close-ups of flowers. The pictures with this lens are vivid and extremely detailed. I can zoom in on a section and it blows up with extremely fine detail. During my trip I never once thought I needed a different lens. This lens did it all! The pictures attached were taken with the Canon EOS M50 camera and this EF-M 18-150mm lens.

Lens is OK as expected. Bundle contained 52mm UV filter for this 55mm lens. Not a 55mm filter as described.

Having owned the M1, M2, M3 & M5 series cameras, and all the EF-M Lenses (except for the lighted macro I can say this is the very best EF-M lens to date. The size, balance and build quality are closer to what I expect from Canon than some of the other M-Zooms, and image quality, in good lighting, is almost as good as the EF-M 22mm f/2 STM. Recognizing that the M-Series is a crop sensor, I find it equivalent to the EF 24-105MM F/4L IS USM in terms of utility and IQ. Initially I started using the M-Series for backpacking, but I am finding that I often leave my EOS 5D-M3 & L-lenses at home as I have been very happy with the images from the EF-M 18-150mm f/3.5-6.3 IS STM. I have also started to leave my other EF-M lenses as well. This lens, the EF-M 22MM F/2 STM and the EF-M 11–22 f/4–5.6 IS STM cover well with a very small kit. Cons: #1 -Pricey #2 Not on the CPL list. #3 - Not a "L" weather/dust sealed lens

Pictures taken with the EF-M 18-150 are detailed. The lens is light and uses a plastic mount. The EOS M5 with this lens seems to be a little slow to focus when taking pictures indoors. It needs a lot of contrast to gain focus. It has an Aperture Range : 18-23mm f/3.5 24-27mm f/4.0 28-31mm f/4.5 32-41mm f/5.0 42-59mm f/5.6 60-150mm f/6.3 Overall, it works best outdoors and well lighted areas. It's a good general purpose lens for the M5 and much better image quality than the 15-45 kit lens; however the older kit 18-55 lens on M3 was better than the 18-150. My Tamron EF-M 18-200 will not work in the M5, so that was not an alternative. I hope Canon will make a faster lens for EOS M soon.
