    Great condition, everything works

Bought a 5D II labeled E- condition. I would say it was underrated. I can't find a mark on it. It looks brand new to me. So far everything works as expected. Looking forward to many years of use.

    5D Mark II

I bought a Canon 5d Mark ii with a 50mm f1.8 lens six months ago and have absolutely loved this set up. The mark ii is an incredible tool for both photography and filmography. I am mainly a photographer, and have felt as though the camera has enabled me to more fully carry out my creative vision. The full frame sensor allows me to produce crisp images even in low-light conditions. I have even shot pushing my ISO to 6400 with negligible noise in dark conditions which is rather remarkable. As many others have pointed out, the autofocus feature can be a bit finicky. Yet, I mainly use manual focus so it doesn't affect my work much. If I am using autofocus it usually works as desired, but occasionally I have to play around with it a little bit, not a big deal. Also the DIGIC 4 Image Processor allows for quick processing with excellent attention to detail, color, and reduces image noise. This camera packs a hard punch, and is a video powerhouse. This camera includes full 1080P recording capabilities, and with this I have been able to produce professional grade films. This camera i 100% worth the investment and is considerably less expensive than it competitors. If you are debating between purchasing the Mark ii and the Mark iv i’d go with the ii any day.

    My First Full Frame

This is my first full frame dslr camera. Bought it used in good condition. Stepping up from my Canon T3i and a 7d...so far the low light pics I've gotten with this camera have been what I was hoping for. Great detail, color, and just excellent all-round quality...with using just a f/1.4 lens I get good full images while there's enough detail I've been able to heavily crop some of the pics and retain their quality.

Human factors, durability, the comments from all regarding my pictures. And the calling card that the equipment is. Just having the equipment is enough!

    CANON POWERSHOT SX520 HS

First let me say that the service was superior; I got my camera within 2 days! Also: I LOVE the features on this camera and it's ease of use. The only thing I'm not satisfied with is the fact that I haven't even had it a month and the lens quit working so I have to send it clear across the country for repairs so I'll have to go through camera withdrawals for approximately 2 weeks until I get it back. If the camera was older, I'd give it a higher rating...but it's practically brand new and already has to be sent in for a manufacture error. Other than that...It's a really GREAT camera!

    Great deal!

I was given money for a new camera and was able to purchase a used one from this site at a great price. I use my camera for portraits and weddings, have rented the mark ii before and loved it. I was anxious to see what condition it was in and I was pleasantly surprised! Minimal wear!

    Great Camera

This camera is great in just about every way , there are a few things i would change , the 9 point AF , im not sure why in the world there is only a 9 point AF system in the 5d mark II , this camera deserves so much better , the other small thing is low light shooting , it is ok , but a lot of noise past 1600iso , other than that , depending on your lens and i recommend using a tripod unless your very stable , you get super sharp images , and the camera just feels great , yeah a little heavy and bigger than your beginner dslr , you feel like your holding a great piece of equipment , im upgrading to the 5d mark III for the extra's , but i shoot professional portraits , and i need the extra things the mark III has , if your coming from a rebel or other amateur camera , start with the mark II , get to know the camera , and see if you need the extra stuff on the mark III if you dont the mark II works great

    This Demo made my year!!

I have been waiting to get this camera and I'm so happy that I did. At first when I heard it was a demo, I'm not going to lie, it made me nervous, but it's perfect (and it didn't hurt that there were less than 3K shutter clicks on it either!!) Very happy with my purchase; Adorama is always my go to store for all of my gear.

    Oh my.

If you're in the market for this camera, you probably don't need me to sell it. It is a thing of beauty. I was using an EOS 350D before this, so admittedly it was a big jump up. But the image quality on this is superb. Beautiful light gradients, color tone, and richness of image. The AF is a little lacking, but I hear they fixed that in the Mark III. Doesn't matter, still buy the camera. The lens in this kit is fantastic. A nice large diameter lens, great, crisp images. It may not be the best lens in the L series, but it's still an L lens. Excellent combo to use with the Mark II.

    MADE FOR A PHOTOGRAPHER

Having spent twenty years with film and Leicas, making the change to Digital and Canon was a bit of a rethink. After trying some Rebels and D's, I decided to go with the 5D mark II. I have found the 5D to be well made with features for almost any photographic situation. The weight and hand fit is very workable. This camera is simple to set up for most assignments. It will focus fast in any setting and with a fast lens (f.2.8 +) low light is a piece of cake. I have been shooting in RAW, mostly with a 35 mm f2.8 and 24--105 f 4 and find the color and B&W to be right on. The sharpness of the image is truly outstanding. The 5D's with some lens combinations and a speed light are a great photojournalist set up. I am still getting use to this camera, but the 5D Mark II seems to like me.

Its Borderline Cinema & Great Photos Too

I also own a 60D that utilizes EF and non EF lenses. However, it appears the 5D makes the best possible use of the EF lenses as the images appear even stronger detailed when it comes to the photo side of the camera. In terms of the video, the EF lenses also compliment this effort as well. For those of us that are familiar with using 35mm cameras in fully manual mode, it is an interesting way to shoot video, if you like that sort of thing. This mode also gives you full creative abilities, including the ability to shoot in black and white.

This is the camera you are looking for!

Went with this over the Mark III, because it has all the features I need, and was slightly less cumbersome than the Mark III. It is a great camera. I am using a 100mm macro and an 85mm prime with it, and the shots come out beautiful. It's a great portrait and outdoor camera, and does excellent in low-light and also in cold temperatures. Battery life seems reasonably good in cold temperatures too.

    Worth the $$ !

I've owned Canon's 10d, 20d, 30d, 40d, 50d and 60d. I finally bought the Mark II since they are so reasonably priced right now and I couldn't be happier. It's focusing capability is amazing, the quality of the images are much better, and I'm happy to finally be working with a full sensor. Best of all, it does amazing work with my 580EX II, giving me perfect flash lighting!

    Still an excellent choice

I made a decision to move into the world of digital photography some years ago, shelving my film based cameras for the flagship full size sensor Canon 5D. I've had no regrets with that decision. Recently I decided to make a move to the 5D mkII and again I'm very pleased. What I like most is that I have not had to "re-learn" the camera's functions layout. If the days arises when I can justify investing again my choice woul without doubt, be the Mk III. It can only keep getting better.

    WOW RESOLUTION

    By DIRTWATER

I been shooting photojournalism with a EOS 1D-Mark II for several years and purchased the 5D-Mark II, basically for the portrait and landscape resolution factor. 21 megapixels are absolutely amazing for making quality large prints. I just did a panorama of Alaska's Denali Range by shooting ten verticals and merging them in Photoshop's CS4 and the grass blades in the foreground to the summit of Denali are beautifullly crisp, have perfect contrast and if there were climber's on the mountain, yo...

    One Big Problem

    By Larry

I have Used Canon systems for 35mm for many years including going digital some years back and have several bodies and a number of lenses in the bags I carry with me at all times. I have always had excellent results from both the camera's and lenses, and still do. I also carry a Canon XL-1s for video work, or, I should say, I used to. Now that I include a 5D Mark II I only add the XL-1s when I know the conditions will require it. I am a fire department photographer and on a pager 24X7. When a ...

The EOS 5D Mark II features a huge, full-frame sensor. A 21.1-megapixel CMOS sensor delivers images of up to 5616 x 3744 pixels. And since it is full-frame, all lenses will deliver the angle of view they would on a 35mm camera without a conversion factor. Thanks to improved noise reduction technologies, images shot even at highest sensitivity will be remarkably smooth.

The EOS 5D Mark II is the first digital EOS to offer recording of Full HD video in Live View Mode. Capable of shooting clips almost half an hour long at full 1080 resolution, the EOS 5D Mark II does amazing double duty, making it possible to shoot broadcast quality video on your camera by simply changing settings.

The advantages move way beyond the ability to shoot on your SLR - the wealth of high-speed lenses and shooting accessories that make EOS photography so remarkable can be used in shooting video. Where interchangeable lens video cameras cost thousands of dollars, with the EOS 5D Mark II their operation, including HDMI output, is simply an added bonus to a remarkable camera.

The EOS 5D Mark II has a sophisticated AF system consisting of 9 user-selectable AF points, along with a total of 6 additional vertical and horizontal AF assist points. With Live View Function on the EOS 5D Mark II, you can zoom in and navigate the composition 5x or 10x normal size.

The EOS 5D Mark II has an all-new 3.0-inch Clear View LCD that features high-resolution 920,000 dots/VGA for far more detail than any previous EOS Digital LCD. The EOS 5D Mark II is compatible with all Canon lenses in the EF lineup, ranging from ultra-wide angle to super telephoto lenses.
