45-Megapixel Sensor
The 45MP Full-Frame CMOS Sensor offers high-resolution images with realistic colors and tones for both photo and video. With an ISO Sensitivity range of 100-51200 and an expandable ISO up to 102400, working in a variety of lighting conditions is possible, with over 14 stops of dynamic range. This sensor pairs perfectly with the DIGIC X Processor, which enables the R5 to boast a maximum burst shooting speed of 12 fps with the mechanical shutter or 20 fps with the electronic shutter.
Body Design
The R5 features three impressive screens that help you capture every scene exactly how you imagine. A 5.76m-dot 0.5” EVF provides one of the highest resolution viewfinders on the market today for eye-level viewing. 120 fps refresh rate makes images look smooth as you pan to find the perfect composition. A rear 3.2” 2.1m-dot fully articulating LCD touchscreen is perfect for odd angles, selfie-style recording, and vlogging. Impressive Focusing System
Canon’s Dual Pixel CMOS AF II focusing system features 1053 focus points that cover approximately 100% of the image frame. The AI-based autofocusing system uses deep learning to quickly and reliably select your target and maintain focus as the subject moves throughout the frame. When shooting photos, the focus mode works quickly and accurately, keeping rapidly moving subjects in perfect focus.
