Nothing more than the title is necessary. A good beginners camera or a great one on a very limited budget.

I purchased this refurbished R50 about a month ago with the kit lens. Upon arrival, it came just as it should with everything that was included on the description. However, shortly after taking some pictures, I quickly noticed a very thin line stretching from the bottom of the picture to the top. After using different SD cards and doing a deep reset, I came to a conclusion... The sensor was broken. Yes, they sent me a camera that was defective. I was not happy about this at all after spending the money on it that I did. Fast forward a couple days later, I talked to Canon support on the phone and they told me there was no way I could exchange it because there were no more in stock. So, what they recommended is that I have it repaired. Shipped it off and they repaired it free of charge because of the warranty included. Needless to say, be careful when buying refurbished products. Always check to make sure everything is working properly before waiting until it is too late (luckily I found out quickly)

Mediocre camera. It's sluggish, not very responsive. Lack of command dials killed it for me. Canon refurbished sales system is good. Camera and accessories were in perfect condition.

Buying a refurbished R50 seemed like the best value to stick my toe into the world of mirrorless cameras. Lower priced than a new one, but still backed with a Canon warranty. Although I didn't really want the standard kit lens, it was cheaper to buy it that way than buy the body only. The R50 is a lot smaller than it appears in online photos. I was expecting a full size DSLR camera, and it's smaller than a Rebel. Good if you like to travel light and have small hands. With the Canon adapter, it works great with my old lenses, which makes the transition to mirrorless less painful. The R50 has allowed me to play with mirrorless in a cost effective way. Opinions seem in favor of mirrorless, but personally, I'll stick with conventional DSLR for as long as I can. I just don't care for electronic viewfinders.

Like others have said, this is a great beginner camera & lens kit. I bought this kit a little over a year ago to try out learning "real" photography and take pictures of birds in my backyard and when I go on hikes. Overall I like the camera - Canon's menus are fairly intuitive and, while I wish there were more physical buttons, it feels like there's just enough camera here to get the job done without getting in your way too much. It's able to shoot fast enough to capture birds in flight, and the mobile app to transfer pics to your phone is capable enough, at least. I've included a few examples of pictures I've taken with this kit. Knowing what I know now, I might have instead invested a little more and just purchased the base camera with the RF 100-400mm lens (which can be used with RF 1.4x and 2.0x down the road) and maybe the RF 50 mm to cover the rest. That being said, the lenses included do plenty for the price, and the fact that they both come with image stabilization for such a low price is pretty great. Cheers.

Item arrived well packed and protected. Came with everything imaged and as stated. The camera set up well, registered / connected, and worked well after charging battery overnight and installing. Took photos well with minimal setup, and as this was a gift, the person gifted the camera enjoyed it and said it worked great!

I would not use this site. I bought a camera and then dropped the price. When I called they would not price match as it was not in stock. Poor service.

The Adorama Canon EOS R50 2 lens camera package was the most complete camera package for the same price found on multiple websites. I highly recommend this Adorama R50 camera package. This was a birthday gift for my daughter who is becoming an advanced amateur photographer. Her main use if for sports at her high school and local travel clubs. This package provided my daughter a lightweight camera that she can learn still photography. I recommend this camera package from Adorama. I ordered the camera on a Thursday and received the camera at no shipping cost by Sat. morning.

After reading up on entry level models the r50 stood out for a number of reasons. It's allot of camera for the money and did not disappoint. The packaging/presentation is that of a new unit so it served well as my sons 18th birthday present- He's been enjoying it and says the shots are "crispy" ?? Shipping was completed quickly and without hiccup. It was refreshing to be reminded what a quality brand is like to do business with, well done Canon.

Last camera I used was film. The r50 was complicated but canon manuals helped a lot. I'm shooting regularly

It has a pop-up flash, fully articulating back and is small size. It is a good camera for casual shooting and a travel companion. Canon's does not offer any prime RFS lenses. The zooms are limited also. I like 1.4 to 1.8 lens for interior shooting and a macro for flowers/stamps/coins.

I've got an M6 which I love and use for hiking -- it clips on my backpack and is both small and light. Of course the "M" series is discontinued -- my daughter wanted something similar. We're both Canon shooters with plenty of other cameras for the last 20 years. This was what I got her to fill the bill; its very close in size with the kit lens to the M6, and she loves it for this purpose. Of course its not waterproof so you have to take some care with it, but for this application small and light without compromising much else is the key, and that it has the same quality of sensor is the biggie. Now if there were just more of them at the price I paid for this one (I'd upgrade my M6 to one of these too.... :-))

I'm in month 2 with this little powerhouse & I love it, its simplicity w/o sacrificing too much "real world," big boy abilities. I also love the wide-ranging lens lineup, from the new lineup at canon, Canon "refurbished," used, & Aftermarket opportunities from sigma, Sirui & so This camera is superb for newbies & intermediates alike & I can see where vloggers / content creators will be able to flourish w/ the usage of this little cam that could!

The eos r50 camera is light and meets my needs very well. I am still learning and adjusting the many functions/setting. Being a refurbished camera; it works as well as a new one. I seeno difference.

I upgraded from a DSLR (Canon 90D) and prefer the mirrorless Canon R50. It's more sensitive, MUCH lighter, "smarter" (can do more automatically), fits in my pocket with this lens retracted, and is just a nice companion. With the 90D, it's so heavy that I'd have to consciously think "Do I really want to lug a camera around today?" But the R50 just comes with me no matter what.

The Canon R50 is a lightweight RF mount camera with a 12 fps electronic first curtain and 15 fps with an electronic shutter, plus auto subject detection and tracking of people, animals, and vehicles. Its advanced A+ Assist (auto mode) makes it easy to take great shots in difficult settings.
Shoot 4k uncropped video at up to 30 fps, oversampled from 6k, allowing for more detailed footage. You can also film slow-motion at a high frame rate of 120 fps in full HD. There are different modes that make filming much easier — such as the close-up demo mode — which seamlessly switches focus when a product is brought close to the camera.

The R50 is a perfect pair with the all-new Canon RF-S55-210mm F5-7.1 IS STM Lens, great for photographers who are looking for reach yet want to travel light. A compact, lightweight lens compatible with all Canon RF mount mirrorless cameras.

- EOS R50 Camera -
Capture the Moment Just as You Imagine It
The EOS R50 camera makes photography fun, simple, and convenient with intuitive photo functions that capture beautiful images automatically, just as you imagine them. A host of video functions such as 6K oversampled 4K 30p capture and Dual Pixel CMOS AF II makes the EOS R50 a great camera for movie recording and vlogging as well. The 24.2 Megapixel APS-C size CMOS Image sensor and DIGIC X image processor ensure high image quality in a compact and lightweight form factor.
Features
24.2 Megapixel (APS-C) CMOS Sensor
Equipped with a 24.2-million-pixel CMOS (APS-C) image sensor and DIGIC X Image Processor, the EOS R50 camera can capture images and videos with reduced noise, delivering clear, detailed results even in low light. Images look beautiful even when enlarged, with natural bokeh that smartphones can't offer.
Dual Pixel CMOS AF II
Easily keep track of your subject with Dual Pixel CMOS AF II - a highly responsive system that covers up to approximately 100% x 100% of the picture area, breaking the image into up to 651 automatically-selected AF zones during Whole Area AF. This enables impressive autofocus coverage on the EOS R50 camera that helps you get the photo you want right as the moment happens.
Automatic Subject Detection and Tracking
When the subject is found on screen, the EOS R50 camera can automatically select and track the subject, enabling photography that keeps them in focus with ease. Developed using Deep Learning Technology, subjects like people, animals including dogs, cats and birds, and vehicles such as cars and motorcycles - especially in a motorsports environment - are detectable.
Continuous Shooting
Capture those can't-miss moments with up to 12 frames per second continuous shooting using the Electronic First Curtain shutter mode, and up to 15 frames per second with Electronic Shutter mode. Electronic First Curtain enables shooting with less distortion, even for subjects with significant movement. The Electronic Shutter generates no shutter noise, making it useful when photographing sleeping children, concerts, dance recitals, and other situations where silence is necessary.
Advanced A+ Assist
Experience the joy of creative photography with an expanded array of auto-compatible scenes. Advanced A+ Assist on the EOS R50 camera enables great imagery even in difficult settings such as night views and backlit scenarios. Overexposure is automatically reduced so you can capture dynamic scenes or bright portraits, and multiple continuous shots are taken to create beautiful night images or macro photography with a deeper depth of field.
Vlogging Made Simple and Convenient
With video recording features such as 6K oversampled uncropped 4K movie at up to 30 fps, Full-HD High-frame rate movie recording at up to 120 fps, Dual Pixel CMOS AF tracking, and Movie for Close-up Demo Mode, the EOS R50 camera makes vlogging and video content creation simple and convenient.
Continuous Movie Recording That Exceeds 30 Minutes
The EOS R50 camera can continuously record video for up to 1 hour, allowing you to set up your video and keep your vlog, podcast, or other video project rolling without worrying about it stopping.
Movie for Close-Up Demos Mode
Ensure the correct subject is in focus with Movie for Close-up Demos Mode on the EOS R50 camera. This mode quickly switches focus from the on-camera subject to an object that is presented towards the camera's lens, ideal for movies where showing a product to the viewers is necessary such as in makeup demos, or cooking videos.
