About Celestron Nebula Filter for Origin Intelligent Home Observatory Telescope

You can now unlock the full potential of your Celestron Origin Intelligent Home Observatory Telescope with the high-quality Nebula Filter. This innovative filter is specifically designed to enhance your stargazing and astrophotography experience by reducing light pollution and increasing the visibility of nebulae.

The Nebula Filter works by allowing high throughput of light wavelengths from emission nebulae, specifically Hydrogen-alpha (Ha), Hydrogen-beta (HB), and doubly ionized oxygen (OIII). These wavelengths are strategically transmitted while blocking other wavelengths that could potentially compromise image quality and detail.

This effective filter dramatically reduces the effects of light pollution by blocking unwanted light and allowing only the beneficial light associated with emission nebulae to reach the Origin's sensor. The result is a significant increase in image contrast, especially noticeable when observing from light-polluted locations.

The Nebula Filter is perfect for imaging emission nebulae like the North America Nebula (NGC 7000), Lagoon Nebula (M8), Orion Nebula (M42), the Carina Nebula (NGC 3372), and many more. It offers maximum light transmission in the key Ha-HB-OIII wavelengths, producing high contrast images of these nebulae.

The Nebula Filter for Origin was custom-engineered to work at f/2.2, ensuring none of the "good" light from the nebula is inadvertently blocked by the filter. This feature sets it apart from other imaging filters on the market that often block much of the incoming Ha-HB-OIII light for an f/2.2 optical system like Origin's 6" RASA.

The filter's durable, machined aluminum black anodized cell features a knurled rim for easy grip during installation. Anti-reflection coatings have been added to suppress reflections from the glass. The filter fits directly into the filter drawer in the Celestron Origin's front lens cell, replacing the clear window. No additional adapter is needed.

Each Nebula Filter for Origin comes with a foam-lined plastic storage case for safe storage. Celestron tests every Nebula Filter for Origin individually to verify its performance, and with your filter, you will receive a spectral transmission graph showing the results of your filter's test, verifying its expected performance throughout the spectrum.

In summary, the Nebula Filter for Origin Intelligent Home Observatory Telescope is a user-friendly, effective tool for any astronomy enthusiast looking to enhance their observation and imaging of nebulae.

Celestron Nebula Filter for Origin Intelligent Home Observatory Telescope Features

  • Get the Most Out of Your Origin: Enhance your Celestron Origin's views and images of nebulae-especially from urban and suburban skies. This filter blocks light pollution, boosts image contrast, and darkens the sky background for noticeably better images
  • Nebulae Come to Life: This filter transmits only the key Ha-HB-OIII wavelengths from emission nebulae, making their colors "pop" from the dark background
  • Conquers Light Pollution: With this filter, you allow the "good" wavelengths of light from nebulae through but block the "bad" light pollution from reaching Origin's sensor
  • Built for Origin's RASA Optics: Unlike similar filters with narrower bandpasses, this filter was engineered specifically to work with Origin's fast f/2.2 optics to allow more of the light you want while suppressing the light you don't
  • Easy Installation: Simply remove the optical window from Origin's filter drawer and insert the Nebula Filter. It won't disrupt the optical path of your Origin, and no additional adapters are needed
  • Quality Construction: Constructed of Schott glass with anti-reflective coatings, this filter's surfaces are optically flat and free from defects
