Bracket is well made and attaches to my Edge HD 800 well. I was trying to use with a C90 spotting scope and the bracket was a little too flimsy for the 4 lbs scope and slow speed controls. Would probably be more suitable for a lighter weight camera.

Even though I make most of my own telescopes, optics and all, I have a Celestron C-8 that I use mainly for birding. However it's still an astronomical scope so it's quite capable of doing astrophotography if you have the standard fork mount or some sort of tracking mount. The standard fork mount can handle the change in balance up to my 300 mm f/4 L. (Sony camera though). If you use a telephoto, I'd suggest a telephoto with a collar but otherwise worked great. The Lagoon in Sagittarius shows up nicely even with a 28 mm lens. With reasonable polar alignment, the Celestron tracks flawlessly for 30 seconds even without guiding. So if you have a Celestron and want to play with it doing astrophotography, this is a cheap, reliable, simple and best of all fun solution. If we get lucky and get a bright comet, you'll love it.

I purchased this piggyback adapter for my Celestron CGEM II 11 inch Schmitt Cassegrain telescope when using my DSLR camera for wide-angle astrophotography. This adapter is perfect for using your camera's long exposure setting while also utilizing the tracking capabilities of your telescope's mount. The adapter is made of a high impact material which remains solid while mounting a camera and does not contain any sharp edges that would scratch your expensive optical instrument. The adapter also contains a padded surface for the bottom of your camera as well as a standard threaded camera bolt that will thread into any camera containing a standard threaded hole on the bottom. The threaded camera bolt stays attached to the adapter and can be easily tightened with your finger tips. If you want to pass-on the tracking capabilities of your telescope to your wide angle camera, this piggyback adapter is for you.

Searching many web sites for a quality camera mount for my telescope, this one is easy to mount, easy to load your camera and does what it is intended to do, hold your camera safely. A bonus is that it does not break the bank either. I would recommend it.

mounting fit fine to tube. had to modify bracket slightly at tube has 8 x 35 finder scope , telrad and now camera mount. I was able to overlap THE University spotter scope cutting away a bit of the raised shoulder on front face of the mount mount. I mounted a light camera Sony A6000 so reducing strength was not an issue.

This is a great mount for your camera as it is able to be perched on your telescope and will track where the scope goes. A nice addition for your astrophotography.

It mounted to the scope with no problems. Attaching the camera correctly. Now using it for it purpose...... well that a different matter. I live in Michigan..... and if the sun comes out and the temp is above 60 at night, it's summertime. As I write this 12:41pm March 22 2016 the sun is shining and it's 30 degrees. But i have faith I won't have any problems with it.

This quality of this product is very good, and the instructions were well written. It didn't quite fit my older 11-inch SCT, but I can't fault Celestron or Adorama for that; therefore 5 stars for product quality. Very quickly I was able to modify the mount/ adapter to make it work on my scope. It is very sturdy, even with a 75-300mm lens on my camera. So, overall, I'm very pleased with my purchase.

Delivery was quick but this item does not fit well on the CPC-800. The curvature is too small and there is very little room for mounting a camera along with the finder scope. The extension designed for the larger scopes (12-14") doesn't seem to help either. The CPC-800s have a plastic ring around the back end of the OTA. It may work for some, but I will not be using this attachment. For what it's worth the finder scope that came with the scope did not mount 'as advertised' either but I was able to make it work. If you really want to mount your SLR to the telescope this will work, though you might have to sacrifice your finder scope or do some rearranging.

I bought it to piggyback my camera onto my Celestron telescope. Works OK but you need to tighten the screw to avoid the mount moving around. It came with an adapter for some other Celestron telescope
