This is just an adapter, but at the price I was concerned that it would be a bit flimsy. I took it out and did a test shot looking at a microwave tower about a half mile away and was able to see the guy wires. If you want to take photos with your Celestron SCT, I can't imagine any better way to go.

It works fine. Just remember that the threads on both ends are rather fine and make sure that you do not cross thread or you may damage the threads.

I used my telescope with an SLR camera many years ago. I just recently got a digital camera to work with it again thanks to this adapter. I can't wait to try my nature photography using the telescope!

In the past I used a universal t-adapter that slides into the visual back of my NexStar 6SE. That required me to refocuse while using the camera. Now, with this new T-adapter, I don't have to touch the focuser because it brings the focus point at the same distance than my 40mm and 32mm eyepieces which is very neat for me.

The T-adapter worked perfectly on my Nikon D700 and I would suspect it would work well for any standard Nikon mount. I used it to connect the camera to a Celestron 8" Schmidt Cassegrain telescope for astro-photography.

For prime focus astrophotography this unit is great,especially with a f6.3 field reducer.The unit is easy to use and very stable. I have a Celestron Nexstar 11 on a CGEM mount using a Pentax DSLR and get great results.The attached photo of the Orion Nebula, 40 sec. exposure is nice.

Works exactly as expected. Threaded on the back of my CPC 800. Using the requisite camera adapter, I was able to easily attach my DSLR.

Want to use your Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope as a super-telephoto lens? This is just the ticket! Allow any camera, via T-adapter, to attach to the telescope - a 5" scope becomes a 1250mm f/10; an 8" scope becomes a 2000mm f/10. Great for prime focus astrophotography or spying on people 2000 ft. away. Very well made and robust. Highly recommended.
