* Very solid construction. The picture doesn't do it justice. * Unlike others, I had no issues with the bolts interfering with the Nexstar 6SE movement. I did not have to modify the bolts that came with the wedge in any way. Celestron must have fixed this issue. *Alignment adjustments are smooth and lock down nicely. * Highly recommend. 5 Stars.

Solid, easy to install and grasp conceptually. Aside from being able to take much longer exposures, I can now shoot the Zenith with my DSLR. It is heavy, and if you plan on trekking a long way, plan on 2 trips or 2 people.

Like the convenience, portability, and compactness of the Evolution mount? Still want to try your hand at Astro-photography? This will make those longer exposures possible, and is so much more stable than any DIY wood option, by far!

A very well built product, and easy to install. Note: When using with the 6se, the 2 mounting bolts that attach to the scope are too long and interfere with the motor. Removing the e-ring on each and adding a washer near the knob to shorten the bolt, solves this issue.

Solid, no non-sense wedge to allow alt/az mount to follow objects with no field rotation. I purchased this for my EVO 8". Was able to get much better light frames from an older model DSLR due to longer exposures. Without wedge could only get about 5 sec exposures before seeing star trails. With wedge was able to get 5+ min exposures. I assume I can get longer exposures, but will need to upgrade my camera. Though tube and fork-arm are now off center relative to the mount, wedge seems to balance pretty well.

I haven't had much chance to use it. It has some weight and heft and looks solid. Fits tight on tripod and easy to put together. Adjustments are smooth. It'll take some practice for me to fit the telescope base to the bolts. It's just the nature of it, the base isn't light and working at an angle.

This is a beautiful, sturdy piece of equipment, and worth the money but has one big problem for nexstar 6se: The 2 attached bolts that connect the wedge to the telescope base are 1/16 inch too long and collide with the azimuth motor gear inside! This doesn't happen with the 3rd loose bolt because it has a washer. The motor and gear pass directly over the holes in the base. Scope trying to slew but stops dead in tracks when mounting arm passes over one of these bolts. I'm lucky it didn't ruin the gear or burn up the motor! Will fix by adding washers. Please be careful.

I have NOT used it as of this date. I am continuing to famaliarize my self with the Nexstar Evolution 9.25 which was purchased at the same time. My preliminary view is that is is a very stable and sturdy piece of equipment.
