Excellent
I've have owned the HL8R (2021 Version) head light for about 5 years now and the clip on the battery pack broke so I claimed the lifetime warranty and in absolutely no time was sent this brand new battery pack. Excellent and fast service. I absolutely love Coasts products!

Wrong product information
This product listing says:
COMPATIBLE WITH: HL8R (2021 Version)
But that is a lie. This battery only fits the original 2016 version of the flashlight.
The battery that comes with the new flashlight is called a ZX905, but it doesn't seem to be for sale on the Coast website.

Battery Warranty
I have been using Coast HL8R lights for about 10 years. They hold up very well. The warranty on the lamps is amazing.

ZX900 Rechargeable battery
The zx900 rechargeable lithium ion battery performed well in cold temperatures. It is easily recharged with the included charging cable.

Long lasting
I bought this headlamp almost 3 years ago and it?s still going strong. The rechargeable battery lasts me approximately 24 hrs on medium intensity and it doesn?t seem to have degraded at all. Only problem was that over time, the battery clip got too loose and finally broke off after an accidental drop for about 6 feet, but all I have to do is buy a new battery. This lamp is definitely worth the price.

A trustworthy beacon
Always pleased with coast products, they are built to be beat up. I have used their headlamps (mostly for ten years plus and have never been dissapointed with quality or durability. Happy camper.

Extend your light
Packs charge quickly and attach easily and can hang out in your coat pocket, a vest, or whatever, leaving you hands free for chores.

Good sturdy product. Great money saver over using Alkaline.Takes about 6-8 hours to charge ... But it is ...What it is.
