While compact and lightweight, the Cooke miniS4/i Primes (T2.8 to T22 aperture) are power-packed lenses that cater to the needs of contemporary filmmakers. These lenses are designed to deliver the same high-resolution, superior optical quality, and reliability as the S4/i lenses, but at a more economical T2.8 speed. With the advent of advanced digital cameras, these T2.8 lenses have become the new standard, replacing the traditional T2.0.
The Mini S4/i's are versatile and can be interchanged with the S4/i and 5/i lenses, making them suitable for shooting both film and digital images. They are capable of capturing stunning visuals up to and beyond a 4K resolution, ensuring every detail is crisp and clear. The Cooke miniS4/i Prime lenses come in a range of focal lengths including 18, 25, 32, 40, 50, 65, 75, 100, and 135mm, offering a variety of options to meet different shooting requirements.
Equipped with /i Technology, these lenses are designed for all PL mounted professional motion picture film and electronic cameras. The /i Technology provides invaluable information to cinematographers and camera operators, including lens setting, focusing distance, aperture, depth-of-field, hyperfocal distance, serial number, owner data, lens type, and focal length. This data is provided in both metric and footage measurements, ensuring ease of use. For zoom lenses, the zoom position is also displayed, providing additional control and precision to the user.

- Optical Design: The optics are designed to give maximum performance at full aperture with superior control of flare, distortion and spherical aberration.

- Focus Movement: Cooke cam-style focus movement coupled with the added benefit of a large lens barrel diameter, has allowed for an increased number of focus markings, particularly at close focus. Spherical aberration has been controlled throughout the range of focal lengths to eliminate compensation of changes in back focus with aperture
