Sets the standard for low priced shotgun microphones.

This is the mic I recommend to all my students and clients when they?re looking to set up their home self-taping environment. It?s uncanny the quality this inexpensive microphone provides! Runs for months on a single battery, handshakes with TRS or TRRS devices, light and easy to carry around, or mount on a lightweight stand or boom pole. There?s just no excuse anymore to record your videos using the built in microphone on your device!

Awesome bang for the buck

Great mic for run and gun shooting and works fine for nat sounds as well. Hard to beat for the price. Build quality was surprisingly high and the ability to slide the mic forward and back on the shouck mount is great for maintaining use of the eyepiece.

Everything I Expected. Would Recommend.

This microphone was referring I expected it to be. The sound quality is great. Better than my Rode VideoMic Go, but that was to be expected. The build quality is solid. The connections are all tight fitting. The auto on feature works with my Sony A7iii, so no complaints there. There are pros and cons to removable and buil in rechargeable batteries. This is the former. The latter is reserved for their "pro" model. I use rechargeable batteries of my own in this, which allows me to have a supply that will last all day, and not have to constantly throw them away and buy new. A built in rechargeable is convenient, but once it dies, you're dead until you get it recharged, and that's a problem if you're not done shooting. As a result, I actually prefer the non pro feature here. It worked well with my Galaxy S8. I purchased a TRRS to TRS cable to get it to work with about any device that accepts mini stereo inputs, but you have to manually turn the mic on/off with that approach.

Gosh dang...

These mics are pretty fantastic. Used in a loud wedding environment and the sound isolation was pretty sweet. Could hear the conversations happening in camera which weren't heard in real time.
