This comprehensive upgrate delivers superior resolution, exceptional color consistency, and significantly reduces chromatic aberration and flare. With its refined imaging characters that balance clinical clarity with rich texture, the Vespid 2 establishes a distinct visual identity - setting it apart from original Vespid prime and more painterly Arles prime, making them ideal for projects demanding crisp, modern imagery.
Named after the agile and efficient wasp, Vespid embodies speed and accuracy. The Vespid 2 series elevates this concept with a full optical and mechanical upgrade, offering a compact, high-performance tool set that supports faster and more expressive workflows.
Optical Reinvention for a New Visual Standard
Vespid 2 features a constant T1.9 aperture across all focal lengths. Each lens incorporates new-generation self-developed DPR (definitive-precision-grinding) ASPH with multi-layer nano coatings to minimize reflections and stray light (NOTE: this feature is only for the 18mm, 24mm, and 35mm focal lengths. The result is outstanding resolution with clean, pure imagery and rich textures.
Refined Optics for Unmatched Imagery
The redesigned optics suppress chromatic aberration for natural skin tones, while a 10-blade iris produces expressive bokeh. Enhanced distortion control from 18mm to 105mm ensures stable, consistent imagery in multi-camera setups, minimizing post-production correction.
Compact Size, Ultimate Visuals
Vespid 2 is the most compact T1.9 Vista Vision prime set available, covering 18mm, 24mm, 35mm, 50mm, 85mm, and 105mm. It supports sensors up to 46.5mm, including RED V-Raptor VV, ARRI Alexa LF, and Sony Venice, with additional compatibility for select medium-format systems.
