Very sturdy and easy to assemble. I had toyed with the idea of building my own from structural pipe because I wanted something that would last, but I'm glad I did not. This is well-made, portable, and much less expensive. It has survived getting blown over by wind gusts multiple times (don't forget sandbags like I did).

I wish I had read the reviews before purchasing. Aside from being heavy, the width is not adjustable, it is cumbersome to put together requiring an Allen wrench to tighten, and the stands are not universal. I returned this.

Product was an open box. When received box was barely closed and product pieces were loose inside. Minor damage to product but not enough to return as product works fine. Product quality a 4 star, shipping a 2 star.

Very solid. Didn't bow with a green screen. Not a lock in place system, you have to use a hex wrench which takes a little more time. But very solid.

This is a frustrating product: ? The build quality is excellent all around ? The support stands and crossbar are well built and solid ? The card included shows 4 versions of the stand crossbar - Twist lock (the standard which most of these stands use) - Twist and lock slide - Pop up button - spreader lock (this one which required the hex wrench) Of all four versions, only the twist and lock slide is worse. Having to tighten this down with a hex wrench each time you assemble and tear down this is a poor design. Might not seem like a big deal until the time when you forget to lose the hex wrench. Also takes more time to put together. Very frustrating. Unfortunately, this is a deal breaker for me and I'm sending it back. If this does not bother you, this is an excellent stand and I would fully recommend it.

The main problem with this support system is that the crossbar sags at each of the three connection joints instead of being a rigid bar. This is because of the expander connection system which does not extend far enough into the tubes that connect to form the crossbar to make it more rigid. Unfortunately, for the price there doesn't seem to be a better option if you need a 13' crossbar.

This was perfect for what I needed it for, simple, easy to set up and hang a lightweight muslin backdrop (sold separately) on. I was doing pictures at a conference so I didn't want a full-size, heavy duty system to have to setup and take down in a day. For that, this is perfect. It is not very strong or exceptionally large, so I would not buy this for a home or studio setup for longterm use unless you know exactly what you are buying. But if you know why you're buying this size and quality, this is great at a great price.

This is sturdy. Other reviews point out how two people are required to raise it evenly and that the width is limited to the section lengths. I overcame those problems by suspending the cross-bar from a cord that was attached to the upright supports. Then the bar (or any other bar, adjustable pole, etc) will "float" easily to any length you want and be able to be raised or lowered by only one person. This makes it a terrific value for the low cost.

This is just what I needed. Setting up for self-tape auditions used to be a huge pain. I used to tape large sheets of paper to the wall, as I don?t have the room to keep a self-tape space up at all times. This kit is so super easy to put up and take down. It makes my life so much easier and eliminates the dread I felt when having to setup for a self-tape.

I just received this stand and checked it out. The package description is "heavy duty," and boy is it ever. Stated weight is 16 pounds but feels like 20 pounds. The weight limit for the background is 30 pounds, but it almost feels like you could use it to do pull-ups. I marked it down one star because it is great for a stationary studio or if you have an assistant to help move your gear around, but it's a bit much out in the field if you're by yourself. Still, seems excellent.
