Great height and product
So glad I bought these light stands. They came in handy for a photoshoot I did with a platform diver so the 13' was very helpful! Love the bag it comes in too.

Great stand
Have used this a couple of times since receiving it. It is great for my sports portraits. Very sturdy even when extended all of the way. Thinking of buying another one.

One of the knobs breaks less than 3 months of limited use. Not very reliable.

I like the stand, the tightening knobs are junk.
The stand itself is nice, but the tightening knobs are junk. You can't tighten this down enough so the light, if you have an umbrella or softbox on it, won't spin. You have to crank it down pretty good and then the threads inside the tightening knob break and becomes useless. I ordered two of these stands and have one of these stands are already useless. Looking into other stands.

Stands would be good if wasn't so difficult to lock them into position.
Stands are sturdy and right height for off camera lights at wedding receptions but the locking nobs are very difficult to tighten. Have to spend extra time setting them up than you should need to and really twist them.

Solid, Sturdy, Tall, gentle on my lighting gear!
These are far superior to all of my other light stands! (I have a lot of them!)
I ordered 2 of these 13" foot heavy duty, air cushioned stands by Flashpoint Pro to use for my expensive professional strobe lights for weddings. I've had 1 too many wedding guests bump into my stands and I wanted to invest in something a little more solid to hold my precious gear. Plus with these stands being 13 ft tall I will have more options to place these stands a little further from the dance floor for bouncing the light.
The stands themselves feel strong and sturdy but not too heavy. They are made with aluminum. The air cushioned feature is so nice! The stand literally lowers itself gently instead of slamming down with your gear or pinching your fingers. I purchased the red to help set my gear aside from other photographers gear. The options that I seen were red, blue, yellow or black.
I'm extremely pleased! The carry bags are also nice! They are only made to hole the stand they come with but they feel very sturdy, and well made. The zipper is strong and they are just the right size where I will not overload them.
I'm very happy. 5 stars and the price is right! I can't find any downfalls with these at all but if I happen to come across anything I will be sure to update this review. For now, all good!

Solid and sturdy lighting tripod, quick ship, would buy again
Selected this tripod for outdoor lighting. The "head" design is useful for attaching various types of connectors and lights. Unit seems stout and the telescopic joints seem like they will last.

Well built but heavy construction, extends effortlessly with a secure lock. The Air cushion construction is effective and silent. I would definitely recommend the light stand for it's versatility and fair price.

Not bad but not great either
I bought it because I like the 13 foot size plus the footprint is bigger than the stand it is replacing. I don't know if I got a bad one or not but you really, really need some muscle when you tighten the knobs to prevent slippage. And of course, if you have to tighten them that hard you have to work a bit when you want to loosen them and take the stand down. I'd suggest spending a little more and get a different stand.

Wonderful Product at a Good Price!!
I am a senior, school sports and youth league photographer so I am constantly packing and unpacking gear. I have several Flashpoint stands and they have stood up well to the abuse I put them thru weekly. Other "portable" stands I have used in the past would stop extending after a few months but these Flashpoint stands keep going and going. I had one that one of the bolts stripped but was easily replaced with one from the hardware store and a few weeks ago I had one fully extended and let go before the strobe at the top had stopped swaying. Client was able to catch the base before the light came crashing down but it was enough force to bend one of the sections. I was very happy that the stand withstood the pressure and held the light - a light stand is much easier to replace than a 600W strobe!! - Thank you Adorama.

Will be replacing after one year - Hopefully they survive that long.
Honestly, kinda wish I hadn't bought these. They MIGHT make it through one season. If I wouldn't have bought all Matthews stands for the lights, I would consider these acceptable. The air cushion is what will fail first which will make them fairly floppy since that is what centers the bottom of the tubing. For the price, I can't complain TOO much.

Sturdy and Tall
This light stand came just as described, heavy duty and sturdy which is just what I needed for my wedding photography shoots. My primary reason I needed this particular stand with this height was for my reception lighting where I wanted something tall enough to be out of my shot range and sturdy enough to handle random bumps from passersby and dance floor calamities. The carrying case that comes with it is very nice and I love how strong and easy the twist clamps are in tightening and locking the extensions in place. It is not very collapsable as far as packing and portability but I have other stands with less responsibilities that I can collapse into a small size for small purposes. I highly recommend this stand at this very affordable price!

My 2nd FlashPoint pro light stand
This is my second FlashPoint Pro Air-Cushioned Heavy-Duty Light Stand (Black, 13'). I purchased the first one a year ago and it's still in good shape. I like the sturdy construction feel and the feet spread open wide enough to stay put without sand bags. This is not a flimsy made light stand.

Amazing stand!
Freaking great stand! Not only did it survive a 20ft fall with a xplor 600pro (which also survived) on it . I picked it up and kept shooting. 20/10 recommend both products.

A great stand
This is a great stand. 13' and very rugger. Comes with a nice caring sack with strap. Easy to carry to a remote location. I'll be adding a couple more for my remote shoots.

The best bang for buck light stand around!
Perfect light stand for any situation. Love the sturdiness of it and the feel of it when adjusting height. The locks all have a positive feel to them and you KNOW it's locked when you tighten them. The case that comes with the stand is also fantastic and makes transportation super easy. Quite literally the best bang for the buck light stand I have ever seen.
